hi everyone. just wanted to share to all my nclex experience. took kaplan review at first but all they had were bunch of practice questions. the intructor would only answer your question pertaining to the question that you are answering. the instructor said that they cannot explain or answer other questions. you just have to read about it. took nclex and failed. a friend of mine recommended AMERICA HEALTHWAYS EDUCATION. the instructor would explain all the questions that you have and if he doesn't know it, he would go out of his way and find out about your question! its a 7 days refresher course. he goes over almost everything that you've learned (or not) in nursing school and maybe more! haha... this course helped me a lot on my next take and learned a LOT more than what i knew when i took it the first time! i am now an RN and is on the next level of difficulties...looking for a job! good luck to everyone!:up:

HI! I just enrolled in AHEC the other day. I took the 7day review but I think you are not ready yet they offer unlimited review. Are you planning to review there? maybe we can be classmates :)

i too came from america healthways education..my mom recommended me there since she also attended that class before she passed her lvn license. and i think it is one of the best advice she has given me in my lifetime :hpygrp:

it is my first time to review in a formal review class and my first time to take a licensing exam as well(coz i didn't review/take the exam in my home country) and i graduated a year ago so my first day i felt like a blank canvass.. but our instructor was very nice and patient with us explaining and motivating us. his technique was suitable for everyone and flexible. the review material -yes the thick book :specs: - is updated from time to time so you can never go wrong and also his visual aids (slides) during the discussion is very helpful especially if you are a visual person (like me). since the class takes 7 days each month we are also given emailed additional info about specific topics that can help us in our review at home..plus when you get confused with something you can always ask him even it is not a review day and very nice to help you out (i always choose email because he checks that all the time) the instructor is not the only nice person there cause his wife is the best ever! very accommodating.. the environment in ahec is very friendly that makes you look forward to going to class each time..

i just found out i passed the nclex-rn this morning and i can truly say that i would definitely recommend this review center to everyone. for information go to: www.americahealthways.com.

if you cant reach them on the office number try the cell if that didn't work just email them on [email protected] or if you are driving in the cerritos/ artesia area you can go to their office it is behind the salu-salo grill restaurant by 183rd street and gridley road.. i tell you it's worth every penny! :)
