Nclex Result Poll

Having just taken the NCLEX on 7/7 - I'm like all the other new grads waiting on pins and needles. The computer shut off after 75 questions - so, either I bombed or did well. Only time will tell. In reading the BB, it seems that everyone who's NCLEX finished after 75 questions passed. My question is: Is there anyone out there who failed after a 75 question test? I wonder what the ratio is?

Good luck on your results...I'm sure you passed, I haven't had anyone yet tell me of someone who has failed at 75. What is the BB you are reading?? By chance does it mention #'s of people who have failed at 90 questions??? I took the nclex on 7/1 and have been a nervouse wreck since. Again, best wishes...Donna

Leslie,I had 75 questions and really wondered if I had failed.I kept going back and forth with my feelings.I knew I had gotten a few of the answers correct( the ones I could remember-I looked up)and knew that the computer would of given me more questions if there was a doubt if I was safe at an entry level.Still this did not help me when I was waiting for the results.Try to keep busy and stay positive, you probably had a good education and applied your critical thinking skills to each answer. To answer your question I know of only one person that had 75 and failed. peace and love, jeanne

Thanks for the support Bmxca! wink.gif I now can understand why they don't give you your results automatically when you've finished taking your NCLEX results. I can imagine that more than one person would go "postal" at the testing site!! Why is it, in the state that has Silicon Valley, that California does not offer NCLEX results via internet - or even phone?? Good luck with your results...let me know when you get the good news!

Leslie...any results yet from the board?? I've gotten to the point where I'm calling everyday to see if they've recv'd the results yet..as of today, no! I'm such a pest. Donna

In 1996, when we took our NCLEX, there were 83 people in our class. Out of those 83 people, the ones that were shut down at 75 that I know of (probably about 33 people) only one person did not pass.

I took my boards on June 24th and got my results yesterday and luckily I passed. My friend just took her boards on July 10th, and the computer shut off after the 76th question. This is really weighing heavily on my friend and I wondered if anyone had any positive feedback or personal stories that I could tell her about something similar happening to them. I have already tried telling her that the amt. of questions does not matter, but it didn't seem to help. I was hoping if I told her that this had happened to others and that they passed she may cheer up. Anything would be helpful.

Hi,

This is primarily for Betsey, or her friend! I had 75 questions and passed, thank goodness. The number of questions really does not matter. I had a friend who had 165 and she also passed, etc etc etc. But, she will probably not stop worrying (sp??) until the liscence is in her hand. One web site I found helpful was www.caring4you Check it out and good luck in your nursing career.

Betsey,

All I can say is that judging by the responses made to my posting your friend and I should be okay. Waiting for the results is agonizing! Can it be that only four days have passed since I've taken the test!?! eek.gif Argh! Can time possibly move any slower?

of all of the graduates of my class (35), i know of only one person that has failed with 75 questions. i too had 75 questions and i feel your agony of waiting. i did not know how i did once it turned off, but i passed. so best of luck to you and try to relax. do some reading, go to a day spa, just have some quality R&R until you get your results back.
