Hi there! Philippines educated and registered nurse here planning to apply to California BON to sit for NCLEX. I checked their website and it says that I have to submit a copy of the license or diploma that allows you to practice professional nursing in the country where you were educated. I'm confused if I have to pass just a photocopy of my license or do I need the photocopy verified or red ribboned? I tried sending CA bon an email to inquire but sadly I haven't received any reply. What other requirements do I need to prepare? Advise and suggestions will be well appreciated. Thanks.

The process is not likely going to be easy. There's a LOT of information about the process on this site here, but you may have to look a little bit in one of the forums here, just search for something like "California Philippines BRN" and there's a couple of very long threads about the process that should pop up. Expect your file to be gone through with a very fine-toothed comb to be certain you meet all licensure requirements.

Are you a registered nurse in Philippines? If not, you need to send a copy of your diploma.
