English test

Hi,everyone!

I need to know which English test I took in 2016 to endorse my license from NY to MD. At that time BON MD accepted other test, not IELTS OR TOEFL.I forgot the name and the company. I need the result. Please anyone knows the name, give me the information. Thanks.

It was MD,not NY. I already asked to MD. They did not give me the info.

2016 Maryland BON regulations Licensing § 8-302. Qualifications of applicants

does not specify English language competency exam companies. An internet search did not reveal 2016 companies.

In addition to  IELTS and TOEFL  common English language testing companies accepted by Boards of nursing  are/were

  • OET
  • CAE
  • TOEIC
  • Michigan English Test
  • PTE academic

If an email or call to the MD BON is unsuccessful and you are still living in MD area, I'd call your local legislator for assistance contacting BON.

Otherwise, can you take another English proficiency exam now if asking for a different states license?

I Googled "tests of English language proficiency available in 2016" and found several.  If you were to try this, you might recognize the one you used.

Best wishes.

I am still struggling to find the name of the test. I endorsed my NY license to MD license through the refresher course in 2016-2017. I forgot the name of the English test. Is anyone same case as me?

Hi! Around 2016, many U.S. boards (including some nursing boards) accepted PTE Academic and sometimes MET (Michigan English Test) or OET instead of IELTS/TOEFL. You might want to check which of these you took.

You can also find updated info and exam comparisons on gurully.com — it covers PTE, IELTS, Duolingo, and other English proficiency tests. Hope this helps!
