Anyone succeeded in getting CA lvn license after studying in philippines?
Hi @dragon_lady! just wanted to ask, how did you pass your official school transcripts? Did you pass it together with your LVN application or did you have your school sent it directly to BVNPT? thanks in advance.

Method 3 Category for applying for Lvn license exam here in California
thanks for the reply @ mgmamas. What I understood with method 2 is that they meant schools that are in different states, got confused. I'm just worried that they might not accept my application since its been 6 years since I graduated from Nursing school.

Method 3 Category for applying for Lvn license exam here in California
Hi there, I'm planning to take the license exam for LVN in CA, planning to use Method 3 Education alone, but I graduated from my nursing degree in the Philippines 6 years ago. I was wondering if that would be ok? What do you suggest I do? Thanks in advance!

Getting into LVN-RN route after being denied by CA-BRN due to concurrency issues
Hi there zhapper2002! I do admire what you have accomplished. I just wanted to ask a couple of questions. I wanted to apply for CA BRN licensure but it maybe a tough road ahead because of the concurrency issues so I'm considering to also apply for BVNPT licensure as well. How did you apply for BVNPT licensure, is it through equivalent education? Or experience or both? I do have an employment experience in the Philippines but I'm not sure if I could use the experience method because I've also worked previously in an arab country and my previous employer there definitely would refuse to fill up the employment verification form. I'm confused which method to use, if I do consider the experience method, the 2 year experience I had in that arab country will be useless because my employer there didn't even give me a COE, which could show as a work gap on my employment history. Hope you could help me.

NCLEX requirements for California
Hi there! Philippines educated and registered nurse here planning to apply to California BON to sit for NCLEX. I checked their website and it says that I have to submit a copy of the license or diploma that allows you to practice professional nursing in the country where you were educated. I'm confused if I have to pass just a photocopy of my license or do I need the photocopy verified or red ribboned? I tried sending CA bon an email to inquire but sadly I haven't received any reply. What other requirements do I need to prepare? Advise and suggestions will be well appreciated. Thanks.

DENTAL NURSE
Make the most of what you have. You're definitely lucky you have a job compared with others. Any experience is better than no experience at all. Well, I was wondering what are the duties and responsibilities of a dental nurse?

skin test
my clinical instructor taught me about giving a small test dose thru IV, but I can't exactly recall it since we rarely do that esp. in the hospitals here. How many ml do I need for the test dose? and How can I assess if it is positive or not? will I check for redness and ask for er itchiness?

skin test
I'm a nurse from a Southeast Asian country, we do skin test on our patients before administering the antibiotic that was ordered to be given to them. I was wondering if this is also practiced in other countries? If not, how can you know if the patient is allergic on the medication that was ordered?
