265 NCLEX Questions, Did I pass?

Published

:( Hi, I am basically trying to find out what the probabilities are of passing with 265 questions. I took my exam yesterday and I feel horrible I walked out of the test center feeling like my whole world came down on me, especially knowing that all my friends got under 180 and passed. I am sooooooo worred and down right now, I just pray to God that I passed this exam. I am sorry to post my emotions but I have no other way to vent, what should I do!!!!

I am totally sorry to hear that you didn't make it this time. I hear that they give sort of a summary of the weak points in the exam. If this is true, review those. Right now, I would allow some time to sort of grieve it because it IS painful. I do hear that Suzanne's plan has been successful for many people. That may be a good idea. Keep your chin up and keep us posted.

as far as I saw and heard, it seems it is easier to pass at the first time. If we take NCLEX at the 2nd , 3rd time..., it would be harder and harder.

HOw do u think of this? Wish us luck! Take care, everybody!

I agree with that statement because mentally, a person would be even more afraid, especially if they placed ALL of their energy into the exam in the manner that is suggested by our predecessors. They tell you to study at least three hours a day, practice at least 3000-5000 questions before you sit for the exam, to focus, and all of that stuff. I remember doing over 7000 questions, re-reading material again and again, taking off from work for a month, shutting down my phone and using CDs from many sources in order to see different styles of questioning. When I walked away from NCLEX, it was NOTHING like anything I had ever seen. I thought that I failed, and while walking in the rain with no umbrella, I did acknowledge that if I did in fact, fail, that I literally did all that I could do and THEN some. I gave it the best fight of the century. And, I would not have known what to do in order to prepare again, because I gave it my all. I can say that I am glad that I passed the first try, but can also acknowledge the devastation a person may feel if they did the same for negative results. I wish everyone here the very best may they be first time or repeat test takers.

I'm sorry to hear that you did not pass, but do not give up!!!!I did not pass on the first try with 265 and I learned that a huge part of my problem was that I did read the questions carefully. You have the knowledge you just have to learn how to interpret the questions. I read NCLEX-RN by Kaplan and that helped tremendously, it's not long and easy to understand (the principles). If you want e-mail me @LJ3233 and I can maybe mail it to you. Chin-up, I know exactly how you feel!!!Laura

Thank you so much Laura, I bought the Kaplan book and I am going to be using the saunders, I don't know why the hell I din't use it before everything that I read so far in that book was on the test nd it gives good pointers (in both)!! It is a good book but, I also came to the conclusion that I had to much going on (moving, brothers wedding, pinting new place) and I don't think I did enough to prepare, so this time I am going to review and do as many questions as possible!!! Pray for me, I believe God did this for a reason and now that I look back I know that I can do it, just need to concentrte nd retreat from the world!! Thank you ALL I appreciate all of your guys comments, I love being part of this forum!!!!!!!!!! So Much Encouragment, Love Ya Guys!!!!

I felt the same way you did. My friends and I took it the same day, they all walked out of the center after about 150, and I was the only one left. Of course the comp shut off at 265. I was devasted. I was nerve wrecked until 3 days later my name popped up on the website. Dont lose hope! This was my second attempt at the NCLEX, my first try I got 220. Just study ( i suggest kaplan.. they're the best!) and you'll do fine.

goodluck to you ostrow, i just found out that I failed, my 5th time, 197 Questions. Somebody help!!!!!!!!
