Did you look at the results 38% for foreign grads, that is very bad. I think that is why the BON is looking over every application that they approve. There is something wrong.

I have to agree that is quite low. I can hardly count unsuccessful attempts of some I know compared to those who pass on their first try.

Wow!...it really makes me wonder how competition w:smiley_ab will rise from this number... in the coming years we all have strive for a job.. in the US..if there will be??....
Are you saying that in that 39% may of them are retakers, wow that is horrible. I personally believe after failing 3 times, nurses need to go back to school and their program needs to be evaluated to see if the nurses should even sit for the exam.
I think Canada maybe right not allowing these grads to sit for the RN exam.

They are number one in the number that take the exam. But that has nothing to do with passing statistics and that is what counts. Adn then you need to add into the equation that only about 45% pass the NLE the first time as well.
44% pass the first time and then it drops down into the 30s for subsequent testers.

That is quite unfortunate... took the nclex for new york last october 20 and passed it. I guess 6 hours and 263 questions of exam was worth it. That was my first take.

Every time these quarterly stats come out, it seems like some Filipino nurses misinterpret the data. Every time!
They see that the Philippines is listed as number one, and assume that it means that more Filipinos are passing the NCLEX than nurses from other countries.
WRONG!!!
All it means is that the Philippines has the most people who are taking the exam. (That is what they mean by "volume," if you take the time to read the report.) So there's really no reason to:yeah::yeah:about it! It means that a larger and larger number of Filipinos are competing for a small, small number of visas.
If it meant that Filipinos had a high rate of passing the NCLEX, then by all means, celebrate! But, as we all know, that's not the case--- and that is NOT what the "number one" means.

They are correct. Philippines is the number one for those taking the NCLEX Exam who are educated outside the US and not the number one passers. But let us still give to those who passed.
