hi everybody!
so i've been here and reading all these posts, and it seems like everyone is using saunders and kaplan... is saunders alone sufficient though? i've been studying out of saunders ( and a bit of lipincott) for the past 3 weeks, and my test is next week. i've been scoring anywhere from 77% - 83%. am i ready? should i get another text? should i reschedule? are the questions on the nclex similar to saunders? i am lost with not much time to spare!!! any help will be greatly appreciated.
and good luck to everybody out there getting ready attack this monster called the nclex.

I only used Saunders. I used it from the beginning of school. When we had a lecture one day, I'd go home pop in the CD that came with the book and do a practice test on the subject lectured on. I'd do the same thing before a test.
I did casually glance through some of the other NCLEX prep books out there and honestly didn't see much of a difference in the format of questions.
NO test prep can compare to the questions on the NCLEX. I'm not saying that to scare you, I am just giving a friendly warning that when you sit down to take that test you will think...where the heck did THAT question come from.
Your scores look pretty good. Do YOU feel ready? Well as ready as any one can feel about an unknown test :) Don't factor in the fact that YOU think you need to reschedule because you've only used Saunders.
BTW, I passed with the minimum of 85 questions in a little less than an hour of testing. I graduated with high honors and did very well on our exit exam and the HESI's we were given and I came out of that test thinking I failed! Its a very common reaction. Just remember that you have more of a chance of passing the NCLEX than you do of failing it. Best of luck to you.
Thanks so much CT Pixie! I really appreciate the info...I FELT ready...then started talking to a few of my friends, and they were all worried that they failed, so I don't want to take any chances.
But you're right, we took the ATI exit test, and I got a 97% chance of passing first time, so maybe if I just keep reading I'll be ready. Thank you for your well wishes and help!! :loveya:
