I used to have serious text anxiety. I would be able to teach my fellow students, how something worked or how to memorize something. Sadly, when I would go for a test, everything and I mean every little thing in my mind would vanish!
I have learned that I need to block everything out of my mind, meaning all the extra stuff about life, how this grade will effect my life, how I will feel if I do not do well, etc. When I have to take a test, I will do what my Mother used to tell me as a child (it is only now that I am a mother that I understand what she was talking about lol). Clear your thoughts, focus on the subject at hand and BREATH!!! Slow and steady, close your eyes if you have too, but do not let the panic of what if, creep!!!!
I have mental debates with myself LOL. I will mentally tell myself to stop worrying, take my time and if I feel unsure of my answers, I break the question down and make sure i know what is being asked of me!
Good luck!
