NCLEX PN Result in New York - NYSED asking for Infection Control Training

I still don't have the result after I took my NCLEX PN exam last Oct 27, 2014 . I never tried the PVT coz I know its not working or accurate anymore. Also I don't avail the quick result feature of the exam.

Instead of result, I received a letter from NYSED/Board of Nursing dated Oct 29, 2014, 2 days after I took my exam. The letter was asking for a proof of my Infection Control Training to be submitted via fax or email which I completed last 2012. So after I called the NYSED , I ask my friend to help me to do the fax of my certificates and I also sent an email with attachments yesterday. My anxiety is in the highest level everyday! =( Still praying for a good result. Who among you guys experienced this ?????

Every person's exam is going to differ from another's. One person may be weak in ECG, medications, and therefore have many questions in those areas. But another person may answer just a couple of higher-level question in those categories and that's it.

Don't look for how anyone's exam was in terms of how much psych, maternity, whether there were a lot of anything at all. It's completely irrelevant to the test YOU will get, trust me.

Areas you show weakness in, areas where you don't answer well, will mean you will get more and more of those kinds of questions until you either can show you know your stuff....or you don't.

@clawregis I just got 3-4 meds asking for side effects and what to do. 1 computation which I believed I got it correctly. NO ECG. 15 SATA. 3 exhibits and figures, 1 order in response. Few maternal questions. NOT SO HARD, just pay attention to the questions and read the Q's twice or 3x whether it is a passing or below passing standard, answer it correctly! PRAY !!! BEFORE AND AFTER EXAM... GOODLUCK! Pay attention with these words "NOT, required Follow UP, not belong, nurse SHOULD , shouldn't " >>>>> THESE WORDS ARE TRAPS ! Btw I shut down @ 85

RNsRWe I already sent a screenshot of my certificates of my infection control via email and they replied saying they will add that i my records. I also asked my friend to send a copy via fax both training they required. So I guess I did my part. I'm still waiting for my license. I just checked the site, but my name still not there. Little bit worried. Its 2 weeks today (Monday) since I took my exam. My employer is waiting for me but I need to show the license of course, thou they already knew I passed. =( Almost 2 weeks since I sent the email and fax too.

Hi everyone. I just passed the NCLEX-RN last Dec. 15, 2016. I am planning to take the course child abuse and infection control course. My question is. After taking the course, how can I provide the NYSED those certificates so that they can complete my licensing procedure? Thank you for the help

This post gives me hope. We've had the same case I retake the NCLEX- RN exam in Sept this year I'm 100% sure I didn't make it. Til one day I received a snail mail from the NY BON asking me to furnish my Infection Control Training. I searched a blog that had a same case of mine and found your post. Likewise, after I sent my Infection Control Certificate of Completion I waited for two wks prior to check my name in NY BON site. Surprisingly I saw my name with my license number. Thanks be to God I passed!
