You're right nursemyb... Don't quit ! You don't have to study the whole day, you need to balance everything and know your GOAL! Thats what I did before I sit for my NCLEX PN last month. I'll be more responsible this time. Actually, I just rely on my old notes and free review/answering materials online, some are given by my friends. RNsRWe I already sent a screenshot of my certificates of my infection control via email and they replied saying they will add that i my records. I also asked my friend to send a copy via fax both training they required. So I guess I did my part. I'm still waiting for my license. I just checked the site, but my name still not there. Little bit worried. Its 2 weeks today (Monday) since I took my exam. My employer is waiting for me but I need to show the license of course, thou they already knew I passed. =( Almost 2 weeks since I sent the email and fax too.

@clawregis I just got 3-4 meds asking for side effects and what to do. 1 computation which I believed I got it correctly. NO ECG. 15 SATA. 3 exhibits and figures, 1 order in response. Few maternal questions. NOT SO HARD, just pay attention to the questions and read the Q's twice or 3x whether it is a passing or below passing standard, answer it correctly! PRAY !!! BEFORE AND AFTER EXAM... GOODLUCK! Pay attention with these words "NOT, required Follow UP, not belong, nurse SHOULD , shouldn't " >>>>> THESE WORDS ARE TRAPS ! Btw I shut down @ 85

You're going to take NCLEX PN? @Faith1st Well don't cram... As of this moment, you're answering questions and reading rationale afterwards. Honestly, I didn't answer too much questions. Maybe around 50-80 per day for 1 week before my exam. Be sure to memorize your normal values and common drugs side effects and actions. Prioritization and delegations. Practice more SATA questions. Pray before you study and before after your exam. It will help!!! Have a good sleep, breakfast and lunch before your exam which I don't have when I took my exam last Oct 27. I'm just too lucky I survived that day. Walking dead and answering dead ! Its not that hard, believe me. Just read the questions twice. One of my friend lend his credit card and I just found out this afternoon that I passed the NCLEX PN via quick result. THANK GOD!!! He is really amazing. Still waiting for my license to appear in BON Website. Thank you everyone for your advice. Time to prepare for NCLEX RN this December or early next year. =)

I really want to do avail the quick result Jaelselita but believe it or not I don't have my own credit card. A good friend of mind just lend his credit card when I scheduled my exam 3 months ago. =( So I decided to wait the result via mail. Unfortunately, I can't even make a call or ask the NYSED/BON about my result coz is not allowed and need to wait up to 6 weeks before I can inquire what happened to my result (going 2 weeks this coming Monday Nov.10) What really puzzles me is that, 2 days after my exam, BON/NYSED ask for my Infection Control Training (requirement in NY State) proof via mail instead of receiving the result. But didn't ask for Child Abuse Reporting Training (another requirement). No other details mentioned in the letter. For what I knew was, before you can sit for the exam, you need to complete these two as part of the requirements /application which I did 2 years ago.

Yes VanessaK83, its part of our requirements when we apply for NCLEX especially if the applicant's education is outside the United States/New York. Its mandatory here in New York State. All dentists, dental hygienists, licensed practical nurses, optometrists, podiatrists, and registered nurses must complete course work or training appropriate to their practice regarding infection control and barrier precautions, including engineering and work controls to prevent the transmission of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the hepatitis b virus (HBV) in the course of professional practice, every four years according to Section 6505-b of the Education Law. You must attest to having completed this requirement to the State Education Department on your first licensure/registration application and at every subsequent registration. (As what I have said I already completed these two , 2 years ago) .... I hate this feeling right now... WORRIED -_-

Just checked the NYSED BON website and my name is not there... =( Yes its bizarre VanessaK83, what I received last November 3 was a piece of bondpaper stating the website of the accredited online school where I can complete the said training which I already completed two years ago.

I still don't have the result after I took my NCLEX PN exam last Oct 27, 2014 . I never tried the PVT coz I know its not working or accurate anymore. Also I don't avail the quick result feature of the exam. Instead of result, I received a letter from NYSED/Board of Nursing dated Oct 29, 2014, 2 days after I took my exam. The letter was asking for a proof of my Infection Control Training to be submitted via fax or email which I completed last 2012. So after I called the NYSED , I ask my friend to help me to do the fax of my certificates and I also sent an email with attachments yesterday. My anxiety is in the highest level everyday! =( Still praying for a good result. Who among you guys experienced this ?????
