NCLEX-PN 85 questions and thought I failed. PVT TRICK2020

Hey everyone,

I wanted to create an account and share my experience just because coming to all nurses and reading everyone’s thoughts after the NCLEX really helped calmed my nerves and made me realize I wasn’t alone.

I KNEW I FAILED. End of story, it was over for me. The NCLEX made me feel incompetent! It took my 2 hours to get to question 50! I took a break, splashed water on my face and told myself I needed to speed it up because the way I felt I was going to need all the questions I could get. Once it shut off at 85 I knew the test decided I failed. The longest 48 hours of my life went by and come to find out I PASSED!! I couldn’t believe it. But yes all my questions were select all’s, there were meds I never heard of, and there was a tone of reinforcing teaching. I drove myself insane until I started reading about the Pearson Vue trick. I was worried since I took my exam @8am on a Saturday that maybe it wouldn’t work being the weekend or that they changed it being the new year. I am here to say the PVT WORKS! I went to re schedule and pay (putting in all correct cc except a wrong expiration!) and an error popped up saying the records show I’ve recently scheduled this exam and another could not be scheduled at that time. That is what they said was the “good pop up”. I also waited until that night to try it.

So for clarity I took my exam January 2020 and the PVT worked for me!

Good luck to everyone!!

So my program used Kaplan all year long and so I had that to use but I also purchased UWorld . They were both great but if I had to pick one it would be UWorld. One thing I will say is don’t get discouraged if your not making good grades on the qbank questions because I was making 50-65% average. Not to brag or anything because at the end of the day passing is passing but I was top in my class all year ( never made A’s in my life till nursing) and I know I knew my stuff but it’s like non of it mattered. WhT your instructors don’t tell you is whether you pass or fail NCLEX most people are still missing 50% of the questions but it just depends on the level of difficulty of the questions. Or at least that’s what I’ve read . And honestly I believe it due to how I felt after NCLEX. Hope this helps ?

I’m seriously considering buying Kaplan because they focus on the client needs categories and my weakness is physiological integrity. I can only answer 50-58% of the questions correctly.

Hi, unfortunately. I did the PVT and got the “bad pop-up” Stated my card was declined. So I’m about 99% certain I failed and I’m sticking with that. As the PVT is known to be pretty effective. Sucks I came out of the exam feeling like it was extremely hard. I’ve managed to do well in school and on also on the HESI EXIT.
However I dropped the ball somewhere. Discouraged & Sad is an understatement. I know it happens but it’s definitely a Hard Pill to swallow ??.

I will be using Saunders & Lacharity. For studying.

Hi. I did not pass. However I’m back to studying, I’m using Uworld and I really like it. Looks just like Nclex. I’m practicing using timed tests. I’m also doing practice questions in Lacharity Qbank.

I'm so sorry. How many questions did your test go to?

I took my exam on 02/01/2020 at 1PM. Finished all 265 questions in about 5 hours with no breaks (not a great idea because I seriously wanted to piss myself as I left)!! Ugly crying on my way out of the center all the way home and knocked out when I got home. I woke up around 2pm at night and decided to do the PVT. I got the “good” pop up (“Our records indicate that you have recently this exam. Another registration cannot be made at this time.”) and it only made me more nervous. Despite all the testimonies that it works, I still had a lingering doubt in the back of my head. The longest 48 hours later, on 02/03/2020, 1PM, unofficial results: PASS. It worked!! I used UWorld (very good btw) with a touch of scanning through Saunders for review. Good luck to everyone!!
