HELLO THERE!
Hi there once again i would like to say thank you for this website, thanks for all the admins and my co-members! This such been my support on all my nclex/nursing related problems and issues, ive learned a lot from previous post and experiences and now its my turn to share mine....
First thing i would like to inform everyone that iam from california A BSN graduate in the philippines and also iam an RN there, but never had the chance to take the NCLEX RN exam due to inconcistensies with the schedule of our lecture to our clinical completion. Nevertheless i moved on and i accepted my fate.
I took my first NCLEX-PN exam last january 2015 but i failed due to my failure to study 100% i finished saunders PN book and cd with 3200 questions but i think its not enough as iam busy working and also iam a busy mom to a 5 year old daughter. I tried the PVT trick before and for me it absolutely works!!!(ON MY CASE) I knew for a fact that i failed BECAUSE i didnt get the "GOOD POP UP" but rather i got the "BAD POP UP" as it allows me to register and i gambled my 200$ MONEY$$$. At that time i felt so devastated and i lost my confidence... and i gave up...
after a few months my husband encourage me again to repply, so i applied on july 2015 and got the eligibility on OCTober 2015 i set my exam date on DEC 15 ,2015 but later i had so much doubt then i resched it again FEB 3,2016...
Then i studied everyday doing mostly Q and A from saunders q and a lpn book and its CD doing 150-200 questions daily and read the rationale if im not sure of my answer. I also took down notes on certain topic that iam unfamiliar with..
I also browse saunders COMPRE once in a while if i need enlightenment on a certain topic, plus i had a rundown of infos on kaplan coursebook...
Before and after i study i pray! I begged God to help me and endure long hours of studying as i dont wanna retake the test again... I put on some instrumental relaxing music as i ran down on my Q and A's.
I took my rest once in awhile ( my rest /breaks includes household chores and baby sitting my daughter) so you would imagine iam physically and mentally drained ;(
But i told myself
LIFE MUST GO ON!!! YOU NEED TO SACRIFICE IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS!! NO BUT's AND NO IF's....NO COMPLAINING!!! I also have to give up family outings and parties to fully focus on my test...
*** 1 day before the test...
i just relax and do some household chores ,spent time with my daughter AND PRAY! also i browse on the lab values for the last time, prepared my stuff (my documents and ID's) and my snacks for the exam... eat and sleep....
*** DURING THE TESTING DAY***
I woke up and pray had some hot cocoa and dry toast and again a cup of warm water..on my way i had a half of banana..but imma tell you iam so nervous and iam having tachycardia and felt like imma pass out but i told myself hey! dont panic! this is the day that the LORD has made! you will be an LVN soon! so take a deep breath, relax and take it!!
so to make it short I TOOK THE TEST FOR 2 HOURS WITH UNINTERUPTED BREAK!, yes i didnt took any break, as i wanted to finish my test, it feels like i cant handle/endure it anymore... my computer stops at 85! after 2 hours -exactly 2 hours and i felt like crying because iam overwhelmed with the questions!
i had SATA all throughout its like 40-45 SATA in my 85 item test, mostly pharma and prioritization, delegation ,pedia, maternal... BUT I DIDNT ENCOUNTER ANY DRUG COMPUTATION, NO AUDIO, NO IMAGE OR PHOTO QUESTIONS, just a drag down and ordered response kind of questions... so please focus and study...
After 2 days i used the PVT TRICK here and i got the good pop up! and i say yes! thank you lord this is it,,but still i waited for the mail after few days feb 12,2016 friday I RECEIVED MY CONGRATULATORY LETTER FROM THE BOARD ,its a different format now as i didnt saw my photo unlike my husbands letter last year so i thought i didnt pass, there you would see your name first and it says CONGRATULATIONS!!
After that it will teach you to log in/ sign up on breeze california for your liscense application, and so i did my online application on feb 13,2016 saturday then TODAY FEB 16,2016 TUESDAY my checked was cash out and my name was posted online with my LISCENSE NUMBER! thank God!
i will update you guys on how long will my liscense card be delivered via mail...
AGAIN, thank you so much! Godbless us all!
by the way before i forget, during my first nclex PN test i finished it until 205 questions and i took the test for dreaded 4 hours!
got a bad pop up! and i gambled my 200$
so the PVT TRICK WORKED FOR ME :)

I have a question for you!!!!
Honestly, I have no idea what's going on. The last time I was able to get ahold of BVNPT was in January, and I asked what their process and procedures was if you had failed the NCLEX. I graduated 2013 and I do realize it's been awhile but that's not the point.
Im trying to get ahold of BVNPT and it keeps telling me the call volume is too high, it was never like this before, before they'd put me on hold for like 30 minutes and I'd be able to speak to someone.
So my question: What happens when you submit a retake for NCLEX online through breeze? I paid, I see the receipt for payment. It's all there. It says the exam app is "pending"...
Do I wait for a letter in the mail? Do I pay for NCLEX through Pearson Vue and then it'll go back from pending? I don't understand what the new process is.
To top it off, the school I went to is shut down and is now Unitek!
Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Hi,
Breeze and Pearson vue are separate entities and you gotta pay both. Breeze is California's licensing system and there you pay for the application/license. Pearson vue administers the exam, and you must pay for the NCLEX through them. So yes, pay for the NCLEX in Pearson Vue, and wait for your ATT. Your application will show pending until you have a deficiency or you receive your license after successfully complete the NCLEX. Hope that answered all your questions.
There was supposed to be another reply but I'm not sure where it is. In case it doesn't post I'll add it here.
I'm aware that Pearson and Breeze are different and I've paid for the re-exam application @ $150 and it says pending on my account. My question is - do I wait to receive my ATT through mail and if so how long? (Through mail is what I'm used to) OR do I have to pay for my Pearson Vue and THEN check status online/wait for mail to come in regards to ATT? OR is there something else I have to do?
Oh, another thing, I've paid Pearson Vue before receiving my ATT and it didn't matter I was able to take my NCLEX.
But now that my school has merged with a different one, it's now Unitek, Im scared to pay for Pearson Vue and not being able to get my money back if the BVNPT decide there's a problem because my school I graduated from technically doesn't exist.
You had to receive your ATT to schedule the exam, maybe you received it through email but hadn't noticed.
You may want to call the school, and the BVNPT. I'm not sure how long the BVNPT keeps transcripts on file. And if the BVNPT needs your transcripts, the school will probably need time to dig them up.
But now what happens is that the school will send a list of graduates to the BVNPT, the BVNPT will tell Pearson you can take the exam, and Pearson will email you the ATT. For recent graduates this process has been taking wildly different amounts of time. Some receive an ATT 1-2 weeks after graduating, some 2-4 months. So it's probably best to call both to get a definitive answer.
