Hi I just recently submitted my nclex pn application to the bvnpt last monday. Does anyone here on the same boat as me? Does anyone here also used method 3 the equivalent education? Thanks. :) I have read that there's really a long wait for them to reply. But it might be true for some but not for others. For all those u undergone the process of applying for the nclex pn through method 3 can you share with me your timeline? Thanks :)
Hello and greetings. CherryBee, I'm about to file for the LVN boards in California, but I wanted to ask you some question about the process.
When I send my original application, I will include the page 8 9 from the application paper that has the schools information, in a sealed envelope with all my hours and stuff. I'm that far as of now, it's on the way to my house from the Philippines.
Aside from that, I'm reading your comments, and you mention a yellow paper of some kind? What is that?
Like I send my check, application, sealed envelope, high school diploma and all, then after they process that in 2 months, they send me another form to fill out? Please explain.
Really thats weird i guess theyre getting stricter too. Yup they are asking for copies of my passport even the blank pages
Yup, I think the BVNPT is now getting up to speed on the applicants that are submitting their paperwork from the PH are either now finding the same issues the CA BRN had with fraudulent transcripts.
The reason for all the pages of the passports is to show that one was truly in school during the time period that should match up with their school schedules and not still in the States or vacationing somewhere other than being in the PH.
I've said this before and just be forewarned, that the BVNPT (the nursing agency that handles the LVN side) does have the same CONCURRENCY rules as clearly stated on their website under the section of "unapproved nursing programs" and the concurrency requirement statement as the last mention.
So this rule can go into effect at any time, any day and cause the LVN-RN route to be block the nursing door into CA. It's possible that the BVNPT is becoming more and more suspicious of the PH applicants and again, thanks to the greedy and selfish PH grads and nurses that went ahead of us to cheat their way into the system.
If the concurrency rules does happen to be enforced one day, then it will really impact the already difficult enrollment process and maybe be "cheaper, faster and easier" to just try to get your BSN (all over again) if one really wants to work and practice in CA and re-take the entire nursing program in CA or go out of state.
So we can't blame the BVNPT for doing their job to make sure that everyone complies with the rules and regulations that is applied to everyone from the local CA resident, out-of-state and other foreign applicants.
Again, "thanks" to the lying and selfish and very dishonest nurses, the microscope is now on all and every PH (and other international) applying and will probably affect the endorsement process as well.
Remember that it's a privilege and not a right to be licensed as a nurse (much like a driver's license).
