Acutally, I had similar experiences! I think the first time I took it...I did it too fast so I wasn't thinking about each answer. I definitely believe that to pass the NCLEX is based on how you asnwer the questions not so much how much you've studied or know.

Wow this was great! Thanks for explaining your experience with all of us. I had the Kaplan Q&A test bank but never utilized it. I will sign up to use this as a resource also.

I have to agree this post was great! I enjoyed reading about your experience and it has really motivated me. I have been thinking about whether to use kaplan or not and after reading this post I am going to definitely order the online class! Thanks so much for sharing! :yeah:

wow....reading that is just what i needed. i took the test two days ago and just found out that i didn't pass. i was at work and broke down, i had to leave. it's been a rough day. my story sounds similar to yours delightful and it was a breath of fresh air to see that you got through it. i really need to sign up for kaplan (and had thought of it before) but as i look at their website it looks like there are multiple online options, what is the specific name of the class you took? is that what you would recommend i do?

thank you soooo much, you made me feel a lot better even through my tears on this very difficult day.

How much time did you take to study? Do you suggest a month or longer?

Did Kaplan, took my test Jan 14th and failed. Very hesitant to do Kaplan again because I will most likely get the same practice questions and question trainer over again. Any advice?

I feel your pain. I took my test 2 dys ago also and got 265 questions and didn't pass. I have been really devastated for the past 2days, especially seeing that I am the only one out of my 15 nursing school friends that didn't pass.

I was thinking about using kaplan to take the exam, but do you think that suzanne's plan will also be very helpful?.... She uses Saunders...

I am thinking about using her plan too. I am trying to inquire about how it works. Do you retake your exam in 45 days?

Give yourself a short break before you start on her first tip, do not rush to resit the exam. Have a good read on her stickies regarding her program

Thank you very much. I will try to refocus but this complicates so many things. I cant work as a GN anymore and there are no nurse tech positions available and I am an international student on OPT which ends in Oct. of this yr. So I dont know what to do. I know I have to wait the 45 days but I cant take to much time to resit the exam because of when my opt expires.

You are aware that after the OPT you are going to have to maintain your student status to be able to stay in the US? You can not change status at the moment due to retrogression and looking currently at several years waiting. If you are not aware I would suggest you check out the International forum found under the region tab as this has been discussed several times
