Hello everyone, I graduated 2010 from LPN school it was not easy but God saw me through..... @ 2011 I took the NCLEX I FAILED it was sad, then I travelled then starts taking care of my family a lot happened to me that I can not write on line but God saw me through 2012 I went for the second attempts I Failed again it was so SAD that I was ashamed of myself I can't tell people about my exam, people asked me many questions like where are you working now and so on.....
I went back this past month and did it again the 3rd time found out that I Failed again, now my time is running out because I can only take this exam 5times, it will be 5yrs that I finished school in october. on my 3rd attempts I did 5 wks of NCSBN, Saunders, Kaplan strategy, I did not finishedSaunders because of my exam day, I supposed to take the exam in 2014 but I keep on change the date till the time I can change it no more, but before I went for the exam I felt comfortable that though when I don't see my result on time I was so afraid and I end up doing the quick result and I found out that I Failed again.
I want to have my RN license but the way things is going I don't know what to do, shwould I try and get my license as LPN ( if I want to do how should I study again and shock book should I used because have spent a lot in buying books ) OR should I go and sign on for RN program I don't know.
Please any advice or help I need all please.
Thank you

Hi. everyone my Nclex result came in today and here are the result.
Coordinated care Below Passing
Safety and infection Control Below Passing
Health and promotion. Below Passing
Physiological adaptation. Bellow Passing
Psychosocial Integrity. Above Passing
Basic Care and Comfort Near Passing
Pharmacological Therapy. Near Passing
Reduction of Risk Potential. Near Passing
Am ready to get back to the study but I can not decide which review is good because I don't want to waste money on a review that will not give me what I really want. I read a lot about Hurst review, Kaplain reviews ( currently have new edition content book) and Simple Nursing ,( 900 gecko with rational you will do 3 months then after that you will purchase Nclex 75 question bank ) currently no money for that.
Please any advice will be appreciated.
Thank you.
You graduated 5 years ago, you failed x3, and you only got above passing line in one category. A tutor may help, but honestly I think you need to return to school for a couple of remedial classes. Studying using any of these methods mentioned here alone (or even in a grouple) most likely won't be enough after so much time has passed.

Agreed. OP is definitely a candidate for a refresher program or going through an LPN program again. 5 years is a long time to be out of school.

Confidence is key...yes you can still pass this test...but yes it will be hard...cut out any distractions in your life and focus soley on it...don't think about how you failed etc...just think of passing and study hard..also find out what your weakest in and brush up on that the most...still cover other areas. You may need to talk to someone while you study instead of just doing the test bank multiple choice questions etc. You may also need to crack open you med-surg books and other books from your last year...basically you sound like you missed some things from school and since time isn't on your side..you are loosing knowledge in the process. However you can still do this..Good luck!
I am concerned that if you go for your RN you may run into this same issue and you will have a lot of debt with no job in sight. I would try to give the LPN test my all for right now. Don't even think of doing another degree just yet. Don't worry about how people view you as far as not working etc., who cares. They don't control your life, you do. You need to deal with test anxiety because for some reason due to your failing a lot I feel you have it. Even if you know the answers you probably freeze up and second guess yourself too much and that greatly affects your chances of passing the test. Hang in there! If you want this bad enough, it isn't too late to give it your all.
Kaplan is #1 for me.
