When applying to take your NCLEX in Texas, can you apply online if you currently reside out of state? Or do you have to apply through a paper application since your current residence is out of state?

There are several eligibility issues that would prevent you completing the online application.  They are listed in the Online Examination Application - Eligibility Information.

I applied to take my exam in Texas online while I currently reside in NC, as I will be moving there in May. The TX BON licensure by examination page will give you all the information you need to know. Just know that you will need a signed affidavit from your school upon graduation which will certainly delay your ATT.
