NCLEX October 2017

Published

Hello fellow NCLEX takers ... I wanted to start a chat for everyone taking the NCLEX in October ... let's motivate each other. When you need a pick me upper let's check up on each other. What are you using to prepare for the NCLEX? What date in October are you taking the NCLEX? Are you taking NCLEX PN or NCLEX RN?

I'll start with me. My name is Nadia and I'll be taking the NCLEX PN on October 13th. This will be my fourth time to take the NCLEX ... the last time I took the NCLEX was in 2008. I had to take a required refresher course in Florida in order to be eligible to sit for the exam again ... I did that and also did clinical which I absolutely love because I didn't get the same experience when I was in school. I have been using Saunders, just recently completed the Hurst Live Review (which I absolutely loved) and I will be purchasing U World. I've learned so much in the past year and so motivated to start my career. I do work a full time and I am a Team Lead so I have a hectic day almost every singe day. I have no choice but to make time when I get off to study from 7pm until I get tired and that may be 11 pm or 12 am. If I'm too tired to look at the computer then I'll plug in my headset and listed to the Hurst audio and put it in my long term memory as they call it lol. Hoping to hear from others as I love reading this forum getting different ideas from other fellow nclex takers.

Congrats to everyone else who also passed

Hello all,

So I graduated nursing school two years ago and this is my first time taking the nclex cause I had some background issues but the board is finally letting me take the test however they might not release the results until everything is cleared. Anyways I take it in 3 days from today on Oct 23rd and I've only used uworld and nothing else. I average 50-65 perfect on majority of my tests and my total score right now is 57%. I've been out of school for 2 years so it took a lot for me to get back on track cause I pretty much forgot everything but I'm keeping my hopes up! I'll let you guys know how I did on my nclex after I take it!

I did uworld and i scored 50-51 % total score. , i did uworld twice. Ull be okay. You have to understand the rationale not only practicing the test. My friend scoring 60% and she did not passed nclex because shes not reading the rationale.

Totally agree ... my scores were between 30s and 60s but most importantly I read the rationales and made sure I understood it and was able to explain it and then move on ... it helped me a lot with critical thinking

I just wanted to say "Thank you" to all the encouragement from this website. Finally I can say I passed my NCLEX (2nd try). The 1st time I did the Hurst review, but the 2nd time I studied the Saunders book, Kaplan online and review the priority (Lacharity)book My scores were low for kaplan, but the main part is to understand the rationales. Good luck to everyone. Have faith Trust in God.
