NCLEX Nevada

World Registration

Hi,

i Am a new member on this site.i reccently mailed my NCLEX initial application for the state of nevada. do you guys know how long does it takes for them to reply??? im waiting for more than a week

Hello Steppy ,I'm very willing to Transfer To another state if I able to Pass The NCLEX Exam there. But For now my choice is Nevada and New York . But as You Said, They have now the same requirements like the california BON? But I saw a thread about starleviosa , that she got Denied in California , but she was able to get her ATT from Nevada BON.

Hello . Do you know Which State can I get ATT without the CGFNS exam and have a higher chances of ATT. im planning to live in any state as long as I pass the Exam there. But my families plan originally is to endorse my license here in TEXAS. but it seems very complicated because , I read that You need to process again all my transcripts and paper works. but for now I'm planning to move whenever i pass the Nclex Outside of Texas

Starleviosa got her ATT and passed the exam because she was an earlier applicant to NV, but things are happening so fast.

I'm positive with the CA BON stricter restrictions, many many PH applicants are now flooding the other State's with tons of paperwork to be reviewed. As such, NM has just also implemented a declaration form that one will stay in NM for several years or the application will be denied. NM was being used as a "stepping stone" due to the ease of obtaining the ATT, but now they are seeing many are only just planning to transfer (endorse) to another State.

I can say, that this is NOT a conspiracy on any of the State's part but rather the excessive paperload put on the BON's evaluators and making it harder for the nurses that do want to work and practice in states like NM and not want to move on for years.

Again, it makes no sense, either financially or time-wise to look to find a faster, cheaper and easier State to get your ATT and then get your license in a State you have no desire to work in the minute you get your RN license.

You will have to still meet in your case, the TX BON requirements, meaning you now will need to spend more $$$ again to apply into TX, need to do the CGFNS exam anyways and meet ALL the other minimum requirements asked by TX. So even if you got your RN license from CA, NV, HI, NY or any of the other 49 States, the bottom line is that you still have NOT met the TX requirements, so if you're missing any of the required exams TX needs to see before accepting your out of state RN license, you will need to do them. In fact, you might have taken and paid for another exam as an example and it wasn't a requirements for TX, a total waste of time and money for an unneeded testing.

That's why I keep telling kababayans, just apply into the real first desired State's choice rather than do this "State hopping" from here to there, one must still pass the final State's requirements in the first place. I read here in this forum: "I got my license from ABC State, but now I'm having so much troubles trying to endorse (transfer) my RN license into XYZ State, my true love State. I'm wasting more months waiting for acceptance and I just spend $$$ that I can't afford and wasted months trying to save up" stories.

Learn and hear from their costly and timely mistakes, don't do it, there's NO way around the nursing system. Do it right the first time and then everyone will be happy.

Nurses , My plan now is to Apply in New York State or Nevada , is there any Filipino Applicants you knew from 2009-2011 Graduates of the BSN program from PH. Got their ATT in NY?. We are the Last Batch of The Old Curriculum Until The CHED Revised it in 2012. Now My Concern is if I Apply in Nevada this November.. it will take time to process .. and in Jan 2013 they have a new requirement and that is a Local License from PH. I really don't have enough time and money just to back and get the Local License there. Will I be Exempted from this new Requirement in Nevada If I apply this November? How long does it Take for CES to process for NEvada? and CVS to Process in NY. Anyone you knew who got rejected in NY after applying because he/she got denied also from CA at first? Please I need Some Urgent HELP:cry:

I would like to tell anyone who's planning to apply for the NCLEX-RN outside their home state to apply for non-Compact member states. Compact states advise applicants to apply in their resident states. This means that there's a high probability that you will be questioned on your application if you're a resident of California trying to apply for the NCLEX-RN exam in Texas. That'll end up in investigation by your prospect state, like say for example the Texas Board of Nursing will then communicate with California Board of Nursing and eventually issue you the same recommendation made by CaBRN, unless you're a first time applicant and planning to move within 6 months and if the CaBRN did not screw your records yet. Anyhow, try other non-compact states first. (https://www.ncsbn.org/nlc.htm)

I'm not clear on the comment "if the CaBRN did not screw your records yet?" How would they even do this? Isn't it based on our own college transcripts that they are finding the deficiencies?

I don't think the CaBRN tampered or put any negative remarks on our transcripts, but rather maybe "check marks" on a form they must use and say why the application was denied or rejected and TX in this case, wanted to see why that was.

There are other reasons for one applying into CA (or any other State) and then one tries to apply elsewhere, but maybe they are able to show that the previous State found the applicant was found to have violated that State's regulations or laws, such as a drug conviction, stealing drugs, abused a patient, falsified their own application or a patient's record, or gave the wrong medicines or a ton of other possible wrong doings.

Compact states issue both single licenses as well as a license which covers other states on the compact list. Compact license will only be given if you provide permanent residency address in the state and even then if you move permanent residency to another state that is in the compact list you have to still apply for new license. Compact license is only good if you maintain permanent residency in one state whilst working in another. For example, you have a permanent residency in AZ but get a job in NM. If you maintain residency in AZ then you can use your license to work however if you give up your residency in AZ and move to NM you have to apply to NM for a new license via endorsement

i have already applied for CES last october. and u guys are saying that they would require a local license on 2013. will they add that requirment to me too?

No, I've spoken to a rep and education auditor, they informed me that it will not affect anyone who submitted and paid the application before 2013. It will be strictly applied by January though.

I still need to ask them how long this application will last, because I'm enrolling for a required medsurg this summer.
