Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I am taking my NCLEX on Monday! I've just finished Kaplans class a few weeks ago and all the tests today.

These are my results;

diagnostic exam: 56%

QT1: 55%

QT2: 63%

QT3: 55%

QT4: 46%

QT5: 59%

QT6: 58%

QT7: 62%

Readiness Exam: 60%

QBank cumulative: 60%

Should I postpone? Am I ok? I'm freaking out!!! I feel like I did not know alot of the content!

Anyone take Kaplan, did it help? Did it not?

We had to score a minimum of 84% on the diagnostic and readiness before our school would release our information to the state. Everyone in my class passed nclex first try. What does your school say about your scores? Honestly, nclex questions were nothing like kaplan. but I don't know if I would have passed nclex if it weren't for the high scores required to "pass" kaplan.

It wasnt through our school. The program I did said aim for a 60 but I feel as if those are low scores!

I took Kaplan on my own (the school offered the class but we had to pay for it) and I took my NCLEX around 3.5 weeks after starting Kaplan and I had really similar scores to yours and I passed my NCLEX on the first time with 79 questions and under an hour. I felt Kaplan prepared me the best for the exam and I had access to the Hurst Review as well. I felt when I sat down for NCLEX I was taking a Kaplan review test, it was very similar. I really liked Kaplan and I think your scores are really well, best of luck & I hope you pass!!!!

Kaplan really does help. My Kaplan instructor said to aim for 60%, so I think you are fine. I thought the Kaplan questions were harder than the questions on the actual NCLEX. I think knowing the decision tree really helped work through some of the really hard questions. I would definitely not wait any longer to take the NCLEX.
