HI,I'm new to this site and I would like some help.
I finished my LVN class back in December, and I have taken the NCLEX twice now and I cannot seem to pass it.
I recently signed up to take a prep class in Sacramento and it got canceled. Now I need to find a new one. My dad realy wants me to take the class. The problem I have is I live in Northern California... I mean NORTHERN and the only classes I can find are in LA thats a good 12 hour drive from my house.
I dont know why I cant pass my test. I work as a CNA and a local nursing home and all the nurses there are relly helpful and give me little quizes. I do good on those. I even work as an MA when the doctor is there. I dont know why I cant pass. could some one help me, or give me what ever kind of advise PLEASE
If I were you, I would book a review class with Life Savers and book your NCLEX test date within a week after the review. Life Savers prepares you for everything you need to know. They have a good track record. The sooner you take the NCLEX after your review class the better off you'll be. My eye made a full recovery! I have been offered a job down south at UCLA Medical Specialties out patient center. I am very thankful for the Life Savers class I took. Good Luck! DebbyLVN

I took a review class called, "Life Savers". Most of my questions were about prioritizing. Two nights before the class I was curling my hair and dropped the curling iron in my right eye. As you can imagine I had a serious corneal burn. I tried to reschedule with NECLEX but they told me even with a doctors note on such short notice I would loose the 200.00 fee and have to wait to be rescheduled. I was so upset that I told them I would take it with one eye. I went to the test with one eye patched and figured that I would fail for sure. I didnt want to just give them my money so, this would be a way of familiarizing myself with the building, procedure and get a peek at the test. I was completely relaxed. It seemed really easy because I had no pressure. The test shut off about 25 minutes after I started. I received notice from the board that I passed 3 weeks later! I think relaxing and taking the "Life Savers" course really helped. They have a great way of reviewing the material I highly recommend them. Good Luck!
