And I have absolutely no idea how I did:banghead:
Honestly, I don't even know how to feel right now. There were so many questions that I was completely clueless about - medications that I had never heard of before . . .
Test shut off at 75 questions, which I always heard was a good indication, however, if I was doing dismally wouldn't the test shut off at 75 also?
I just feel awful and hate the idea of going into work tomorrow and hearing the nurses ask me how I did. UGHH!

It's pretty common to feel clueless after the NCLEX. I was such a wreck, I couldn't get out of the parking lot for about 20 minutes. I had to just sit there and cry and try not to throw up.
But I passed, and I'm sure you will.
As for the nurses at your job -- you've taken the NCLEX and just gained a new understanding of this career. I'm certain they'll be sympathetic since they've been there too.
Also, I don't think that the number of questions have anything to do with whether you passed or not. But if it's any small comfort -- most grads who take NCLEX do pass.
Let us know when you get the results!

i know exactly how you are feeling!
i did my rn boards yesterday. i went up to 75 questions too! while doing the test question after question they seemed hard to me. some were so so and then it was hard.
and yes....oh! mama mia :smackingf......the meds. they were hard.
i was sometimes stuck with 2 answers and had to re-read the question over and over.
yeah it was not easy. i was on 74 and said to myself....ok here i go....75! when i finished at 75, i was hoping to go on and hoping i could make up what ever i missed.......but nope it shut off! i was with my jaw dropped open!
i left the building walking to my car and thinking to myself....."what in the world?...man that was hard"......i came out all confused. wasn't sure if i passed or i didn't.
but just relieved that is over with. feels good not to sit down and stare at my laptop and look at questions.
but we shall wait and see!
best of luck!!!

I just took my Nclex RN this morning and after the test I felt like a person who never went to nursing school...I probably would have felt just as confident after taking a test on how to fly an airplane!!! I had TONS of SATA's about 23 (no exaggeration), several meds I never heard of, infection control, and prioritization...Then it shut off at 75!!! So now I'll be all stressed until the results get posted - though I'm not counting on passing:no:...I mean how can I pass with 23 select all that apply? Who gets those correct anyways? I walked out to my car like a zombie...I was a top student in school, but this test made me feel like a no-mind...
relax and think positive! I know easier said than done! But try!

i'll check tomorrow and hope to see my name! but just have to wait and see!
best of luck to all of us!!!

Oh my gosh - thank you all so much for your kind words. Much of your descriptions sound just like my experience, although I only had 9 SATA questions ---- 23!!? Good grief!
I just couldn't take it any more this afternoon after I got home from the testing facility - too much crazy-making in my mind. I read many posters talking about failing after 75 questions and just left me lethargic. . . so finally just took a nap and woke up in time for DH to come home and take me to a consoling dinner. This is a case of needing xanax!!!
Anyway, thank you again for all your comments and good luck to those in the same boat as I am - waiting for results!

I just took it nearly a week ago, and didn't even know about the quick results until tonight (!!). It cut me off at 75 questions as well, and I was SO convinced that I'd just failed it with flying colors that I cried the whole way home, stopped long enough to buy ice cream to comfort myself, realized that wasn't working, and went to bed to sleep off my depression. Turns out I passed!
I saw a LOT (read: A LOT) of questions on infection control and different types of isolation (there were *at least* 8-10 of these, but it seemed more like every other question, lol), delegation (but less on delegating to UAPs and LPNs and more on which patient would you give to a new grad RN or a student nurse type things). I had maybe 6-7 click all that apply questions. 4 or so drug questions (all on drugs I didn't know *at all*). I had one put all the steps in order question (it was on trach care). All in all, with the stress of the test, I walked out feeling like I was only certain on maybe 2 or 3 questions, and the rest were a guess between two options--but I still passed at the 75 question mark. I am thrilled (and shocked, lol)!

i'm feeling it too...197 questions, 13 SATA, 3 med calcs, and a lot alot of who do you see first, assign to the new grad and infection control, i lost count of the meds. I have accepted the fact that there is no way that i passed.
Littlelilith --- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I am so happy for you -
you waited a long time for your results - again, CONGRATS!!

IMO
sometime I just don't understand how they rationalize the fairness of giving someone a TON of SATA's and someone like a couple. The difficulty is like night and day. But maybe it's part of the wacked out way they calculate what to ask you or something.
