NCLEX July 15th, So Nervous!!!

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi everyone! Just wanted to vent my feelings about the NCLEX...I feel like my family and friends don't quite understand how difficult the NCLEX can be, but I know you all are well aware of it!!

I'm completely freaking out about the test and it's still a week away - with everything I'm reading on here and from what classmates who have taken it are telling me, it sounds awful!! I'm so afraid of failing it...I know you can take it again, but the thought of starting over with all the studying petrifies me! I also really dislike the feeling of not knowing if I'm studying the right things...the unknown is the worst part.

I've been taking Kaplan, so hoping that will help prepare me, but I'm overwhelmed with all the content there is to cover and I keep getting things mixed up. I feel like a complete mess!! Can't wait for all this to be over!

Anybody else taking the test on the 15th?

Just got home, did the PVT and got the good pop up!! I'll be checking it again just to be sure though!! Don't think I'll feel 100% sure about it until the official results. I didn't feel very good about the exam when I left...I felt like I made a lot of educated guesses. Had about 25-30 SATA and a lot of things I didn't recognize. Congratulations to everyone else who took/passed the exam today and good luck to those that are still taking it!! And thanks to everyone on here for all the encouragement!

Hey! Congrats! Did you remember what are the topics that was in the test? Any advices? Thanks!

I just got home from my test! 75 questions, checked in the car and again when I got home - getting the good pop up! Nothing stood out about my exam, maybe 10 SATA, and maybe 4-5 other alternate format? Overall, I felt just like I was doing Kaplan questions at home!

I'm done. I think I had 85-87 questions (I stopped looking and it shut off!!!!! Woops).

I'm too scared to try the PVT. I had a decent amount of SATA (especially to start with and then periodically) one drag and drop, I feel like a lot med questions and loads of priority questions.

I feel so unsure... :(

Okay, I've been home for awhile. I had to pray before I was willing to do the trick. I did 75 question some of the questions seemed too easy so I was freaking out. But I took my time..... I got a figure/picture question, a good amount of SATA, one drag and drop, no calculations, no prioritization. I actually knew a majority of the medications I got (very surpirsing, since I'm horrible with it).

But I got the good pop-up! Just like everybody else I won't be happy till its official...either my license number pops up or i pay for the quick results. :)

I got the good pop up!!!!!!!!

Praying it is accurate!!! :) :)

Congrats!! I see you're from New Jersey -- did you go through the NJ BON? I've been checking for my license # too!

I agree with the comment about how family don't understand how hard NCLEX is. After I told my dad that I passed, he said, "well, it's expected, right? most people pass NCLEX." Good luck, you can do it! On the day of the test, do whatever you can to relax. If you just treat it as one of those practice tests you took, you will have a better chance of passing.

No, sorry. I'm in Jersey but I applied for a Maryland licence. I'll be moving to that state. I checked their bon and it was pending in the am, then license # by the afternoon. I'm glad I wont have to pay for the quick results now. :)
