I took my first nclex yesterday. I graduated from the school after agonizing 2 years...
I'm a foreigne student and I always found it really hard to get through everything.
Yes...yesterday was my first nclex test day and I spent almost the entire 6 hours and had 265 questions... After the test, I thought all the things that I've done seems like nothing.
I had tons of priority questions, about 10 of med related questions, and can't even remember what I had in all those 265 questions. It was a mixture of everything.
I also had 45 SATA. Hope that's a good sign...
I'm going back to my home country in a few weeks.
I hope i can bring some good news to my family..
I need someone to tell me that I can pass...

The amount of SATA does not determine whether you passed or not. You can have a SATA that is considered a "lower level" question. Not to lower your spirits, however...that also means you can have tons of multiple choice and very little SATA and still pass. I've known people to take NCLEX in 265. Some pass, some fail. It can go either way. What you need to do now is relax! It's over, and you worked hard. Breathe and enjoy life for a couple days!

Did the exam shut off at 6 hours? Or did you make it to 265 and then it ended?
Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing until you get your results. There were 2 in my class who had the full 265 questions and still passed.

I know how stressful this is for you, I took my NCLEX on June 1st. I also had 265 questions. I paid for quick results and found out I passed. If your state participates in quick results I recommend paying the $8 after 48 hours. Don't get discouraged just yet. A few of my friends passed at 265 as well. The number of questions does not determine if you pass/fail. Take it easy and try to take your mind off of the test. Good luck!
