I graduated in May and I am pretty nervous about the NCLEX. I took Kaplan and at the end exam it said I would pass...they said when you do question you want to try and get 60% of the question right....so I have been keeping score and I have been getting in the 40 and sometimes 70 but I am not consistent...I have my schedule laid out that I will have done about 5,000 question when I take it which is what I heard you should do. Does anyone have any advice for me? What I can do to improve my score? I have also been reviewing some content each night I have trouble with? HELP please I am so nervous. I just graduated with my ASN I am working full time, going to school full time, studying for boards, and trying to manage time to have some fun too SO i am SUPER stressed...any advice to of how to build my confidence b/c i get upset every time I get less then 60% b/c I want to pass the first time...thanks for you advice :)

Ditch the fun for sleep.
Hang in there, you have worked very hard to get to this point and you're almost there. One more giant education hoop to jump through, then you can move on to the hoops of hospital politics :)

Speaking as someone who took the NCLEX yesterday, I am somewhat nervous....and was before I took it. However, I did questions, studied the rationles, and just KNEW that I didn't go through the last 2 years for nothing! I got questions that were pretty clear basic level knowledge, and a bunch of alternate items.
Just take a breath, study, and know that 60% is what Kaplan says you are supposed to get...and my exit was a 922...both saying that I would pass NCLEX....
Do you have any other study material? I had a saunders CD that I took 2 tests before I went to bed the night before, and got a 84 and 78%....I felt like that really helped my confidence...
take a breath, eat a good breakfast, just be confident, sleep the night before(seriously, I slept maybe a hour before I got up...just too nervous), and KNOW you can do it!

You need to have confidence in yourself. I know that sounds impossible, but if you second guess yourself, you are more likely to fail. So have the same confidence in yourself, that your peers have in you. It will take you a long way not only on your nclex, but also in your career. (That's not say that you should listen to the advice of the LPN's an RN's that have a lot of experience at your job.)

don't focus on the numbers. Just work the questions in the Q-bank and do your best. The questions on the test will not be the exact same ones, so you are wasting energy comparing apples to oranges. Remember, 80% pass on the first try.

Working 40 hours per week, and going to school full-time, and then preparing for this exam; something is going to suffer.
Suggest that you take time off from something until you get prepared for the exam. It is impossible to put adequate time into preparing with a schedule like that.
