The pearsonvue thread is well over 1000 pages and 10,000 posts long.

The original thread (part 1) is now closed. here is a continuation of the same topic (part 2) with the following links:

Part 1 (the original thread)--

Pearsonvue "Trick". Is this TRUE? Does it Work Every Time?

Poll to take once you have received your response--

Pearson Vue Trick - Poll once you receive your results

Here are the exact steps to see if you passed or failed the NCLEX exam on the pearson vue web site:

1) go to http://www.vue.com/NCLEX.

2) select the 'test taker services' tab at the top.

3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Your pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick

Does anyone know how long it takes for the MA BON to post on their cite? I took the exam yesterday...the PVT gave me the "pop up" saying exactly what it said for everyone else but I won't believe it until I see my name on the MA BON! any ideas????

The peason vue trick worked for me. I took the nclex RN July 6, did the pearson vue trick 2 hours after and got the good pop up.:) Today got the official pass results and now I am a RN and I can gladly close this chapter in my life! Thanks to my Lord Jesus Christ for seeing me through these past 2 yrs!

Good lord, Silverdragon - why did you continue the thread? Didn't the last thread confirm that this 100% works? People keep coming on and saying the same thing: "I got the good (or bad) popup but I can't quite believe it means I passed (or failed)! I'm going nuts!" And variations on that theme.

Would stressed out NCLEX-ers be better served with a closed topic with the instructions and "this works. Believe it."?

I think you're on the right track with the poll though, but I would propose a change. We should construct a poll where people click whether they got the good or bad popup, AND then whether they officially passed or failed. Then we would have hard numbers of how many people got the "good" popup but ended up failing (or vice versa). My guess is those numbers would show 100% accuracy. The poll as it currently is doesn't give any indication as to whether the popups were accurately reflecting results.

You had said on page one of this new thread that the PVT was free depending on state participation, but states don't participate in the "trick". They participate (or don't) in QuickResults, which people have to pay for. The PVT is free because it's a "backdoor". Pearsonvue has their system programmed to record initial results and refuse re-registration if the person passed. The system knows that right away, but the BON's have to review before the score becomes official. So it's an unofficial hack, but it's accurate!

It just helps to read other peoples experiences...thats all!

PVT "Good Pop-Up= PASSED...I never doubted it because it is a reasonable and logic means of getting "unofficial" results. Its not really even a trick. Its a system configuration that disables/enables registration based on pass/fail. If the system would not be configured this way it would create unecessary issues for those who dont need to register a second time. Meaning if they re-register, pay the fee, then find out they passed, Pearson Vue would have to reset their account and refund fees (which is not a free service).

BOTTOM LINE PVT WORKS!!

It's easy when you are past this stage of your life to feel this way, but for those of us who are still waiting (especially LVN's in CA who have to wait 7 weeks for results) it is threads like this that keep us from loosing it. If this thread bothers you then why don't you just not read it instead of suggesting to shut it down and ruin it for those of us who find comfort in it. I realize that by now we should all have figured out that the PVT is true, however I wont believe it until I get that letter in the mail and I am convinced I will be the 1st to get the "good pop up" and fail. When I come onto this thread and see more success stories it helps me get through the day and gives me hope that despite the fact that I feel horrible about my own test it is possible that I (like many others who felt horrible about their test) actually passed! I hope that this thread stays!!!

Because after over 500 confirmations and not a single negative, there's no more comfort to be had! I didn't say get rid of the topic, I said call it confirmed and close it! I only passed my NCLEX in May, and I can tell you that rather than going through 900 pages of people wringing their hands and asking "is it really true" about 900 different ways, I would have felt much more comforted if I saw a poll or a statement that just said: this works and has been unofficially confirmed by 1,000 allnurses.com members. You passed."

I'm not unsympathetic to how people feel...I was one of those who was sure that it shut off at 75 questions because I failed... I just don't see any point in continuing to say the same thing 1,000 (and counting!) different ways when something definitive like hard numbers would be of far greater comfort.

And, nothing personal, really, but "being convinced" that you're going to be the first exception/failure out of hundreds that have done this seems very unhealthy to me.

I'm sure MANY have felt like they would be the 1st to fail with the "good pop up"! In fact I read it all the time so I guess to you many of us are "unhealthy" I am only here to uplift spirits and to encourage people not resort to labeling... so with that said, you are entitled to your opinion and I will move on for your post...

Holding off throwing a party and waiting for the official results (which is what most people do here) is pretty different than "being convinced" you'll be the first exception to the proven rule.

Can it be true??? Is the pop-up that fast and reliable!

I took the NCLEX-RN in Cali on July 6th, my exam also stopped at 75 Q and I felt I did horribly. The exam was very difficult, I had 32 SATA. Wanted to cry the whole time I was taking it!!! I'm already an LVN and studied my butt off. I just know I failed. I did the PVT and got the good pop-up. I sure do hope this is right!!
