3) click 'register' on the right side.

4) click the 'credit card' link.

5) click the 'sign in' link in the second sentence.

6) enter your username.

7) enter your password.

? click the button.

9) click 'register' on the left side.

10) select your test type.

11) click the button.

12) select your country.

13) click the button.

14) answer the yes/no questions.

15) select your country again.

16) select your state.

17) type in your city.

18) click the button. a list of schools should appear.

19) select your school.

20) select the month and year of your graduation.

21) select your board of nursing.

22) click the button.

Very important: at this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. a new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; It just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc. This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. another registration cannot be made at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.

Took the NCLEX two Mondays ago and got my license info today. Did the PVT hours after my test and it gave me the good popup. :)

hey shelbias, did u take the lvn or rn? and are you by chance in california? i'm freaking out.

hey silverdragon,

i took my nclex-pn (for lvn) on the 24th of january. my test stopped at 88. i tought i got the last question wrong. i felt like my test got harder as i went along. i was told i was above the passing standard, but i didn't really feel confident about about 15 q's. they were ones i had never heard of, or didnt remember. i am still waiting for my results. i was told about the PVT, but i didn't know where to find out how to do it. i was told by a friend last week, and i did it and got the "good pop-up". i was excited, but not really because of those weird q's. if i had been failing, would i have got al the q's? what if you miss too many? i felt good about the other q's but really not sure. can u tell me if the PVT really works? i'm stressin' out here! please help! anyone reading this, please give me your thoughts, it would be appreciated. i worked hard in school, so i really hope it paid off. :banghead: i have a story i am gonna tell you after i pass this thing, about the events surrounding this test, and why it is so important for me to know if i passed or not. thank you

It worked for me!

I think it's pretty accurate. I'll cross my fingers for you! :)

I heard it is really accurate. Plus when I first took my nclex last october I didn't got the good pop-up and then I failed. While some of my friends got the good pop-up and passed.

Crossing my fingers for you. I know you passed so Congratulations. :)

It works. Congrats!

thanks, i'll let you know. it's nerve racking! i been harrasing the mailman today!

@illbeanrn, thanks, i hope you pass it the second time. to everyone else keep ur fringers crossed. thanks.

I took nclex-rn today in CA. 75 questions. When I tried pvt first, like half an hour later, I got "The candidate currently has open registration for this exam. A new registration cannot be created at this time." I tried again, fews seconds later, and it said : "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further Assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time."

Is pvt really, really fool-proof? I'm still anxious. I was stumped from very first questions, which are supposed to be easy, and later questions didn't look too hard. They looked like questions that I should be able to answer, except I couldn't. I remember there were even easy questions in the later part, which is not good sign. Wondering if there is any case where some people got good pop up but still failed.
