Don't stress.. It is not difficult at all.. Go to the NY BON website and find out their procedures for applying for a license by examination.. It will tell you what you need to do.. I just got a license in Florida while I was in Montana (I am still in MT) I took my NCLEX in Montana and 3 days after I took it, my license number (and my montana address) showed up on Florida's website! I don't have a montana license.. I just applied straight to Florida since I knew I was going to move there..

Good luck.. don't stress about this.. it is really not something to stress about... ;)

It is very easy to do, nothing to worry about. Your school will send a completed set of your transcripts to the BON for NY, and based on that, they will issue you permission to sit for the NCLEX exam. That simple.

Yes, it is very easy. Here is the website http://www.op.nysed.gov/nursing.htm

I went to school in Alaska and took my NCLEX in Alaska but FOR my New York license.

MAKE SURE you get the infection control and child abuse classes (you can do these online) and send in the certificates along with your application to New York. This is one thing that sometimes holds up some out-of-state applicants.

Just today I found out my "unofficial web results" that I passed! (I'm very giddy about it right now)

Best of luck to you.
