If you will be taking NCLEX and would like to be prayed for, can we start a fourm for this. I know that some folks are not into prayer and I don't want to offend anyone, but I sure need it!

DjMig,Good Luck,Ill be praying for you.

bythebay,

We can overcome any obstacles with faith in the God,you will get through this.I will also be praying for you.

Julie,

Congrats on passing the NCLEX. I took the NCLEX-RN a couple of months ago and did not pass. I had 265 ?'s. This time I have been doing the Kaplan Online review. I was wondering how you studied for your NCLEX?

Robenz07,

I'm sorry that happened to you. The morning I took my test I talked to someone else who told me the exact same thing happened to her a couple months ago. Even the 265 questions. On Thursday our tests shut down after the same amount of time. She had done quite a few more questions than I had, but said she felt much better about this one because she really slowed down and made sure she understood what each question was asking before attempting to answer.

As for me, I read the Kaplan strategies book a few times and practiced using the strategies while answering 50-100 questions a day from Saunders Comprehensive and sometimes Lippincot's Review for NCLEX-PN. I studied both the books and cds. In the last week or so I also reviewed Mosby's Review Cards after a friend gave them to me. I like them because they were more portable and easy to use while on the treadmill, but I don't think they were necessary.

When ever I found myself burned out and answering without giving a lot of thought, and therefore bombing the questions and losing confidence, I took a break, often until the next day. I made sure to review areas that I was weak in on my predictor tests too, but I think just answering lots of questions and using the strategies helped me the most.

Oops...I wasn't done writing when I posted that! So, when are you talking the test again? I will be praying for you, I'm sure you'll do great this time:redbeathe

Thanks ned2bnurse, it does feel a little like winning the lottery :)

I would like to join this forum. I Know that prayer can help us through this. just believe and have faith as little as a mustard seed and you will pass. I pray that God will bless us all, help us to understand the material that we study, help us to put it together, open up our knowledge and understanding on the day of testing so we could pass. My God will never bring us this far to leave us.. Just have a little faith with me. God bless us all.

I am new in this. I am taking my test on Oct, I would like to be included in your prayers please. This is my second time and feel nervous. I will do the same to everybody.

Hi..I am new here..I'm glad to have a site like this..It makes me more confident. I received my result yesterday.Unfortunately, I didn't pass. I thought it went well but I think it's still not my time.. I'm planning to take my NCLEX-RN next month or the first week of November.

I'll start to study again tomorrow..I want to ask anyone if what am I going to do or if there are tips on studying..I hope I am going to pass my 2nd exam. I'll stand firm and have faith in HIM.

Thanks! Please include me in your prayers and I will also include you ij my prayers as well..

God Bless you all..

Julie,

Hi, I have been doing very well on the Kaplan knowledge/Comp for the question trainers. My scores for Application/analysis started out low but as I have continued to practice, practice, practice they have gone up a lot. I have 2 more trainers to do before I can take the test. I also have that strategies book that you are talking about. I read it last time. I am goign to look it over again. someone else said it helped them as well. Thank you so much for your info and please keep me in prayer to pass this NCLEX. I plan to take it in 2 weeks!

I am not sure when you sent all of your info in...but I have taken the test a few times and when waiting for my ATT this time it seemed to take longer than usual. I had planned on testing on sept 9 but had yet to receive my ATT so I called pearson and they informed me they hadn't received info from my board of nursing...I had received the board of nursing confirmation in the mail 2 weeks ago. So, I had to then call the board of nursing and they had to re-submit my info to pearson. I had the ATT within 2 days. Just a heads up. Needless to say I just signed up to re-take the test on Oct 1. I test better in the afternoon and this was the first date in the pm that I could get. Guess it gives me more time to study.
