I've tried it all...prayers, Mosby's, Kaplan review 2x, ATI on line review, saunders CD & books, Davis, hot topics CD, and old nursing notes... But i still did not pass. After reading some of the advices here, it brings me hope encouragement to try again. I can not give up now, all the years of prereques, essays, clinical training, lab reports, and NANDA's. I just have to move forward....For those that are in my shoes, keep going! your not alone. Step back, take a deep breath and take it again...

I'm really sorry you didn't pass. Definitely do not give up. You WILL succeed! Maybe you can consider just using Saunders. Suzanne, the co-moderator of this forum has a 6 week study plan using Saunder's Comprehensive Review book and CD. I think maybe using one study aid will help you in this case, since you used a bunch the last time. Suzanne has posted a sticky at the top of this forum "First tip of my new study guide" and its the first tip before using the 6 week plan. After you follow that, just PM Suzanne4 and let her know you're interested. I wish you all the best.

Thanks Lena, i will do & take into account of what you said. The 6 weeks of Saunders sounds good, right now im willing try anything.

You have an excellent attitude, the field of nursing needs you! Keep going, we have a CI at my former school who took the NCLEX 6 times. She always said to not judge yourself by how many times you take your NCLEX, some people are not good test takers. Best of luck to you.

You are right not to give up. Believe in yourself that you can do it. I would suggest for you to go over and over your practice CDs. Answer as many as you could because it will train you to use critical thinking. If you get an answer wrong, make sure you understand why you were wrong and why the correct answer is such. Write down the nursing topics that you know needs further studying and make sure you exert effort to read more about it. Write down short notes in a notebook and then before sleeping reread them. If the next day you can no longer recall it, reread. If while recalling things in your head you realize that you forgot even just one word in what you have just read, reread the whole thing. You have to be very familiar with the Nursing content so that when they throw questions at you you'd know the answers easily no matter how tricky the questions are. Remember, we are taking care of people's lives so we have to be certain. Good luck and you can do it!
