I am new......when to take nclex

hello everybody. I am new to this website and i have a few questions. i just graduated from nursing school on may 6th! :D and i'm thinking about studying for the nclex-rn right away. my professor told me to wait a couple of weeks before i send in my paperwork for the att. what are teh best books to study from? does anyone know? i have the saunders,which i like but, is there anything else i could use???

.I think the saunders comp 4th ed is one of the best "content" review books. I used that one AND the kaplan NCLEX strategies. well..anything KAPLAN is good

i wish i knew about how good Kaplan is, after taking the test 3 times (passing JUST today-finally !!! :), KAPLAN-questions are closer to the nclex --the others lipincott, hurst etc.. even the questions in the saunders book are to easy..there good to build confidence.--take your test when you feel "ready"--

cONGRATULATIONS ON PASSING MALENURSESROCK!!!! I might use kaplan but i'm thinking about using the mod suzanne's plan. did you happen to use it?

No i dint use suzzanne plan--i hear it works well and she was kind enough to offer to help me after i failed numerous times--but it wsnt for me, i knew i had a good study plan/routine that worked for me--i just had to "figure" out the test itself-

Check with your state BON.

Like in my state, it takes 4 weeks to get paperwork approved to take the NCLEX.

Stats show that the sooner you take it the better you'll perform.
