How many of you have 75 questions passed or failed?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi, everyone, I am new here

Just took my RN exam yesterday, and... feel so bad. Cannot help it to think I failed it... :crying2: This is my second time to take it. The last time I took it was an year and half ago, I got more than 100 questions, and I failed.

This time, I really spent time preparing for the exam, since I have been out of nursing field for so many years, and it's much harder than I expected and the last time I took it. My brain was blank when I finished the exam. Couldn't remember what kind of questions I had, just memorized that I got a lot of prioritization questions, about 6 to 8. I even got one multiple choice question, when it appeared on my screen, I was so shocked and freaked out.

The computer shut down after I finished 75 questions. I almost cried it out at that time. Cuz I didn't think I do well for all those 75 questions. After I backed home, I kept thinking I failed... :crying2: although my friends kept telling me that having 75 questions is a good sign. I read some msgs posted online and found there are still a lot of people failed with 75 questions... sighs... Don't know what to do next...

People told me I can go onto CA BON's web site to check if my name is on their licensing database. I did go check it... but since I took it on Friday morning, and it's weekend now, I guess I have to wait couple days... sighs...

The statistics say that most people pass NCLEX. 75 is usually a good sign. It means that you passed it or you failed horribly. If you got lots of high level questions you will probably feel bad like you failed. Keep in mind no one comes out of that test thinking that they passed. If they do, they usually have failed. Just wait it out and try to have some fun while you are waiting! Good Luck!

Thank you for your words... I was really afraid that I would be the one who failed horribly... :crying2: After all, I graduated from Nursing school 8 years ago, and afterward, I didn't study any nursing material until a month and half ago. Even though I did study hard when I prepared for the exam, I have no confidence at all...

It has been two days, but I feel like I have been waiting for a week...

Thank you for your info. I did read the article. I have no idea how hard those questions I had were... just remember that I have a lot of prioritization questions, much more than my first try an year and half ago... and it really took me a long time to finish those 75 questions. (2 hours for 75 questions.)

BTW, It's amazing to know some people finished 265 questions within three hours...

I started to think what to do next... & how I am going to prepare for my next exam.

Thank you again.

I passed with 76.

Good luck.

I KNOW you passed, so I'll just check back and wait for you to post it!

Congrats in advance.

What kind of nursing are you going to do?

Thank you...

Congrats in advance.

Thank you for having confidence on me... My parents didn't even think I would pass... :sniff: cuz I am out of nursing for too long...

I will update my result later on... don't know how long I have to wait to get my result...

What kind of nursing are you going to do?

Thank you for having confidence on me...

I don't know what kind of nursing I am going to do yet... I am an international student in the US, I'll need sponsership to be able to work in the US. Since I also have an information system management degree, I would like to work as an informative nurse... I wonder if it's possible for me to get into that field???

Anyway, nursing license is more important and is the first step... been out of nursing for too long, don't have confidence to pass the exam, and probably need to take the exam again in April or May... sighs...

I passed with 75, and I too thought I had failed miserably. :)
