I took the NCLEX on Friday 6/17/05 and am now patiently awaiting my
results.
I had 145 questions on the test and am bursting at the bubble to know my results! My file must be complete because with my IP letter it did not mention that they were waiting for anything to make it complete. A friend of mine received her letter and it stated they were still awaiting transcripts. I'm just sick. I would love some words of encouragement!!!

Sorry, not much in the way of encouragement, but here is some advice from someone who has been there and who is still waiting:
1) Go to your school and get your own transcripts and send them in ASAP (overnight them and then make sure they are recieved). Schools are notorious for not sending transcripts in until very late (as they may be waiting on other students to get grades posted in all classes).
2) Be prepared to wait 10-30 business days AFTER they recieve your transcripts. Yes, this is 2-6 weeeks!
3) Hope that you are not like me ... I took the NCLEX on 05/27/05 and still have not heard anything as they are "processing" my transcripts. And, yes, I sent them in BEFORE I took the test. Two years of nursing school, 75 questions and 30 minutes later ... and I'm still waiting!!!
Go out and enjoy yourself and don't be a slave to checking for your name online. They update every night (only once per every 24 hours) and no updates on Sunday or Monday. They seem to issue 50-80 licenses per day, sometimes more, sometimes less.
I hope you get your results soon ... I know EXACTLY how you are feeling right now! Let us know when you do hear anything!
Thank you for the advice. The school overnighted all of the students transcripts 3 weeks ago to the board. I have tried calling the board on several occasions to check on my file, but have been unsuccessful at getting through each time. I guess I'll just keep waiting...

It took me almost three weeks to get my result. Call the BRN and make sure they have recieved all your paper works. I recieved my IP few weeks after graduating and I assumed that everything was okay once I recieve the permit to take the test and the interim permit. But I was wrong!! They had to hold my result because they did not receive my official transcript from the school. I know its hard to get the line but keep trying.
Good luck!!

Is California different from other states?
How come you all just can't sign on to the Pearson site and see your results? Aren't they supposed to be up there with in 48 hrs? My friend (she's not in California) took the NCLEX on June 8th and found out she passed on June 10th.
What's up with California?
-just curious.

California doesn't permit early results from Pearson-Vue. Thar ruling is up to each Board of Nursing. Pearson-Vue only handles administration of the exam for the BON, nothing more.
California will allow a student to sit for the exam before they have received their ATT sometimes. This is one of the reasons for not permitting early notification.

Hi SC RN
I am a foreign nurse who is waiting for att. My question is : How can you girls take the nclex without having the transcripts proceded ? Could you get the ATT without having the transcript from school done ?
I am very confused at this point, and I wish I could understand what is going on .Do you think I could get the ATT in oder to take the nclex without waiting for the ok from BON? !

As a foreign nurse, they must have your transcripts for approval to be able to sit for the exam.
For students in CA, their school sends a list of students expected to graduate, so they can sit for the exam with that. But CA must have the completed transcripts in hand before they will release the license. That is what you are hearing about. :)

Thank you Suzanne for clarification!

I know, I can feel your pain .. literally! They've had my transcripts in their office for three weeks today ... and I'm still waiting. Just realize that it may be awhile so you have to concentrate on other things in your life. I wasted too many days thinking and worrying about something that I have no control over. Best of luck with the waiting game ... and here's to you being an RN soon!
Wow...I bet you are really going crazy! Don't you think that they would let us know if we didn't pass regardless of having our transcripts or not? I would think that if we requested an IP and were working that they would want us to know as soon as possible that we didn't pass. I don't know...a lot of scenarios are going through my head right now. I'm trying to keep myself busy and not worry about it. Good luck to you!!! :balloons:
