Nclex application expired after 3 years. Required to go back to school.

Don't make this mistake:confused:!!! I put through my application to take the Nclex. I took the test several times and failed. I was so dissappointed I did not take the test again for a year of so. I finally decided to take my test again in April. I sent my money into continental testing and pearson vue. I found out at that time that my application had expired in February. There was no refund for my money. I only had three years to take my nclex or my application would expire. This change went into effect around 2007. Now I am required to go back to school to show 2 additional years of nursing school before I am eligible to take the nclex again. FASA will not pay for me to retake my nursing classes because I would be auditing. Grants do not pay for Auditing classes. I cannot get into a BSN program because I never received my license. I am at a dead end. Any suggestions. Frustrated and really disappointed in myself for not persuing my life long dream.

hello everyone good evening i juts got my 3rd result from nclex and sad to say i failed...i took my exam once a year and since im in illinois we have a law that requires us to take refresher course before we can take again our nclex...as per post i can take it to different state without taking refresher course... what are the requirements for me to take my nclex exam in wisconsin or other state?:) good day everyone..GOD bless us all

Hi I also took nclex in July 2015 and failed. After that till now I didnt took with Illinois board.my three year will be completed by 2018. Can I take the exam now

Same thing happened to me..I write the NCLEX RN in illinois several times..but I failed..after a long wait I registered again to write the exam I have ATT from Feb till August..but they told Application has expired on Feb,didn't get the refund.I am looking for another board,please suggest board which do not require cgfns,fingerprinting and unlimited times and years?
