  1. Has anyone run into any problems with there clinical site? I know this post is older but I have a misdemeanor
  2. I honestly think it should be. With it becoming legal all over. Alcohol is legal but its addicting dangerous life threatening at times. With the side effects of the things that are legal compared to the side effects pot Im lost to why it isnt legal yet. I know if it were legal Id smoked. But just like any mind altering substance it shouldn't be taken while caring for patients.
  3. Not sure where to begin. I have to enter the IPN program. I'm a CNA at a hospital. Well I got a random at work and was positive for pot. I had went to a party the weekend before and got a little tipsy and my ambition went out the window. I smoked the joint. I smoked a month prior to that because my ex-husband and I tried working things out but it didn't work. He just up and left being a shock to all of us. So I smoked to help me chill out after not getting off the couch for a week. I suffer from depression and anxiety. Im on Xanax. I take Tramadol 50 mg PRN for chronic neck pain which then gives me migraines. Im so scared. Im reading all these horror stories. I had planned to go to school in May but have to wait till I can return back to work. I have no prior drug history. I hardly ever smoke and I dont do any drugs. (I dont consider pot a drug with it being legalized) I went and had a full evaluation done yesterday. The evaluator said He was going to give me a favorable eval. But he wanted to wait till he got the forensics back. Im so nervous. I want to be a nurse so bad. Im not giving up. I understand its going to be a long expensive journey and im preparing myself mentally. Soon as I get back on the floor I will be better financially. How long did it take y'all to get back to work? That's what I want to know the most and where does school fall in with all this
  4. What's the difference in RIBN and ADN? Looking into CF ADN program.
  5. OMG did you pass? I am 9 years out and trying to take it soon. Now Im just waiting on my ATT
  6. I know this is a old post but in Florida if you fail 3 times you are required to take a state board approved remedial program. If you are any where near Orlando Look into Millers Nursing School. They do remedial and She has BSN program as well. I love her class
  7. This is wonderful encouragement for me. I have been out of school 9 years I have done 2 classroom reviews I have taken Hurst Im currently in Kaplan review.I have Saunders and lots of other review Im trying really hard to pass it this time.I hope to not have to take it anymore but if I do so be it. Im not giving up on my dream to be a nurse
  8. I also to am have a hard time study for my NCLEX PN I want it I need it. I sit down like I am ready lets do this and half hour in I give up.
  9. In the state of Florida after failing the test 3 times you are required to take a state board remedial approved program there is no limit to how many times you take it
  10. Im actually just studying I boight this book by McGraw Hill its called demystified. I love it. It breaks it down so good. Im just going to study. If I dont pass take the review. Im praying that I pass it. I sometimes find myself not having any motivation to study. Wish yall the best
  11. I just start from the beginning and if its something im unsure about I have been looking it up
  12. I live in Ocala. Where are you from?
  13. I have been out for school for 7 years. There are so many review books classes and reviews I'm not sure which to choose from. Which 1 did you use?
  14. Ok so Hurst it is. Im looking into it now. I have heard a lot about them and ATI as well. I will focus on it and see how that goes.
  15. Yes I want to and need to. I have been a CNA for 12 years. My youngest son and grandfather died while I was in nursing school. I finished and got super depressed. I just found out last summer my education doesnt expire. You only have to take a refresher after the 3rd time I fail. Trust me when I say I want it. Im also having a rough time right now. My husband left me for my BF of 14 years and in order to take care of my kids better I need a better job
