  1. Hello! I've attempted to pm but only thing that comes back is instability.
  2. And they're all beautiful people hahaa
  3. I love this forum and tend to lurk more than post, but there's a couple of users here that sound a little unstable and I worry about them. I guess it's refreshing that not everyone posts how well nursing is for them, but just certain people I wonder about... anyone else feel this way?
  4. Hello again. Maybe I'm being dramatic but I feel like quitting my job today and quit nursing
  5. I'm sure this question is truly depends on what kind of med error. Obviously a life threatening one is worse than forgetting to give a vitamin. I'm going to honest I've made my made my share of med errors in my 2 years of nursing. But they have helped me grow into a better nurse. Thank God no severe issues but there's no worse feelings than making a mistake.
  6. I appreciate you for taking time to speak to me. I'm still a nervous wreck and the uncertainty is killing me but I know I just have to focus and not make another mistake
  7. This is very true. I suffer from severe anxiety so I know constantly thinking about this won't help me. I just started this job as well so that's why I'm worried.
  8. When I said two med errors, I meant that I had given this med to her two days in a row at 8pm
  9. Not blaming anyone but today I found out I made two med errors. We received an order on Friday night for a med that is to be given at 2pm. The nurse overnight documented the med at 8pm So here I am popping my meds at the wrong time. Another nurse found the error and now I'm worried sick. I should've checked it again but I didn't. I know it sounds stupid but I didn't know I had to check after another nurse. But now I know. What will happen? What about the med tech on day shift that technically didn't give the 2pm med? Please any advice is welcome.
  10. That was an interesting read, however it seems that they are discussing protection of a nurses' license if she advocates marijuana. It doesn't protect her from smoking it.
  11. I'm not a smoker but I think nicotine tests are ridiculous. Not smoking at work, yes I agree. A lot of people with sensitivities are affected. But I feel like what you do in your own time is up to you.
  12. Sure of course, but there is honestly nothing wrong with marijuana. Imagine if there was a stigma for nurses to come home to a glass or two of wine (which we all know alcohol opens a chance for addiction, which weed does not)
  13. Okay I realize my username isn't the best for this topic... anyways Let's talk about marijuana. The fact that it's illegal is mindblowing. Let's ban a plant but not life crippling narcotics. We all know that marijuana is safer than alcohol. Unfortunately with the weed being legal in certain states, I feel like the BON wouldn't care about those laws. Plus being illegal on a federal level (what.) doesn't help either. So do you guys think weed will ever be okay in nursing? I hope one day it will be. To be honest, with all the stress (mentally and physically) we go through, a joint might be extremely beneficial. What do you guys think?
  14. I have the rhythm. I showed up early. They gave me my online access an hour into my pass!
