Hi just wanted to start a group for people applying for nursing in Nassau community college fall 2022

Good luck to all. I decided to give it a shot with 9 pre-reqs and low scoring but passing TEAS. I figured why not start the process. I will take my last pre-req over the Summer and possibly try the TEAS again but I don't have high hopes for a better score. Not sure what my point count is. Maybe 144 depending on if they are giving points for Nassau residents and not having been in a program before. So it's just the waiting now.

did you finish 9 prerequisites by the application deadline? they don't accept classes that are ongoing in the Spring semester (which sucks).

What did you get on the TEAS?

I ranged from 65-75 on the scores, so 5 points for each. I failed the science  and math the first time so I was happy for just passing but I know it's probably not enough ?

Yes, I have 9. Unfortunately due to family issues I wasn't able to attend this semester so tonight I will be looking into registering for Summer otherwise I would have been done with all 10 already. Originally I wasn't planning to apply for Fall but I decided to give it a shot.

I also plan to take patho in Summer. It's all online. So not sure if there is any difference. The instructor information is not available yet.

I'm taking patho right now and it's honestly just a lot of mini research papers. So get ready to write a lot, since Summer classes tend to be a much more rushed version of regular semester classes.

Which instructor? Do you recommend?

I'm taking it with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) right now and he's pretty fair. He's very strict on due dates and following APA format but so long as you do everything on time with proper citations and detailed explanations you'll get good grades. Read his syllabus very carefully because he explains exactly how his class is run on there.

I received your PM @papsipaps but unfortunately it seems that I need to make more posts before I can reply back or get the platinum membership. Sorry.
