I'll be applying with all the prerequisites done except pathophysiology-which I'll be completing in Spring- and an 88 on my TEAS. My total points according to the system should be 165 but I'm hoping it'll go up once I complete Lifespan and human development during the Winter break.

I'm pretty sure you will get in with 165!

I got 7/10 prerequisites done with all As. I'm taking A&P2 now, and will take microbio and patho in the Summer.

just took my TEAS with passing scores. my TEAS scores aren't great. I still can't believe I got 60 in reading. this exam is really no joke.

my current total point is 133. and I think I have a very low chance of getting accepted for the fall semester. but it doesn't hurt to apply anyway ?

if I don't get in, I will apply again next semester. hopefully by then, with all 10 prerequisites done, I will have a better chance of getting in.

I think one low score on the TEAS isn’t bad. How did you do overall? Or for each section?

I believe they award points between 5 and 15 for each section depending on the score so if you get a 5 in reading but 15 in math and science it isn’t so bad.

good luck!

Does anyone know when acceptances are sent out for the Fall start?

I got 80s for math and science and 60/70s for reading and usage. that adds up to 10 + 10 + 5 + 5 = 30 points for the TEAS. it is not that good.

from previous years' posts, I think they start to send out acceptance between April 15 and April 30

I hope so, but it always depends on the application pool and I know there are definitely people out there with better scores than me. This is also my second time applying and I think I might give up if I don't get in this time.

I don't think that's a horrible score, I think if you don't get in this semester then you'll probably get in next semester once you've finished more prerequisites. I also agree with you about the acceptance letters. The reply I got to my application email said late April so we should probably expect it around the same time as the last couple of years.

Good luck! What was your total point when you applied the first time? Just wanted to have an idea about the point and acceptance.

It is a bit frustrating that the acceptance is not based the your own performance, but the relative performance of the pool.

I had 6/10 of the prerequisites done and the same TEAS score which I think put me at about 124 pts. After completing 3 more prerequisites, I'm at 177 pts which is clearly a big jump. So I encourage you to try again next semester when you've completed more prerequisites as they are a big part of your score when you apply.

yeah absolutely! I will definitely finish up all the 3 classes. good luck!

do you happen to know what the cutoff point was last time you applied? my current point is 133, which is 50/50 based on previous posts haha

Well it was definitely not below 124 I can tell you that much. ?Admissions is very stingy with their data for some reason.

Good luck to all. I decided to give it a shot with 9 pre-reqs and low scoring but passing TEAS. I figured why not start the process. I will take my last pre-req over the Summer and possibly try the TEAS again but I don't have high hopes for a better score. Not sure what my point count is. Maybe 144 depending on if they are giving points for Nassau residents and not having been in a program before. So it's just the waiting now.
