NC A&T ABSN 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone! I am planning on applying to NCA&T ABSN program for 2021 and need some help. I haven’t taken the global health nursing course at A&t but I am hoping one of my other classes from my bachelors will count. Does anyone know what classes they have taken? Any information would help! I’d love to speak to someone in the program or graduated from the program to see what to expect and if you have any tips!

Just curious, does everyone live in Greensboro, or will anyone be commuting?

I feel more anxious everyday!

@207teelI’m here wbu

@Sleepy Zebra I just seen that someone took global health at another school. So yes just check with A&T before you take it.

I'll be commuting from Durham if it get in. It's only a 45 minute drive so it's not too bad.

Oh okay. Doesn’t Central have an ABSN program too? Couldn’t find much info about it neither did they respond to email ?

I moved from Greensboro in July back to my hometown which is 3hrs away so I’ll have to move back to Greensboro if I get in.

I couldn't ever get ahold of them via phone or email. But from what I saw you have to take 4 courses prior to applying and it seemed like the requirements were just very different than other schools. Also almost all the prereqs expire after 5 years and I started college in 2012 so I would have had to retake most of them.

I’ll be commuting about 20 minutes. I’m on the outskirts of Greensboro.

Hi everyone I have also gone through the interview process. Does anyone know when we will hear back if we are selected ?

Hey everybody, quick question did we have to send in our SAT/ACT scores to A&T? Based on the instructions it did not ask for them so I just wanted to make sure A&T wasn't needing them. I applied to WSSU as well and apparently didn't get into the ABSN program because my ACT that I took 7 years ago in High school wasn't high enough. So I just am fearful that A&T could be the same way? Even though I have not submitted any test scores besides the TEAS.

I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t get in at WSSU! I hope you’ll get good news from A&T. But no the ACT and SAT aren’t required for A&T. Did you have your interview yet?

Thank you! I thought it was weird that they based so much off of it, that program had 245 people apply and 41 got in. So Im sure A&T will be the same way with even less seats. I have my interview tomorrow, and I am really looking forward to it. I think since A&T didn't require high school scores people have a much better chance to get in compared to WSSU. So as long as your GPA and TEAS are competitive I would hope were good to go.
