Navy NCP FY 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

Is anyone out there applying for the Nurse Candidate Program for FY19? I just started working on my packet last week, after I got my acceptance to an ABSN program. Started this forum for us to commiserate, share stats, and see other people's experiences while applying to the program.

Specializes in MSICU, CVICU.

Cool! I'm a prior Marine.

Hey everyone I just created a FB group for NCP 2019

Can you post the link?

Let me know if it works! If not, I think you can find it by searching for NCP FY 2019

I started my application this summer and I have my first medical appointment at Walter Reed on monday, very excited! I'm confused what exactly our options are for filling out the Duty Preference sheet. I asked my recruiter if the three options were Bethesda, Portsmouth or San Diego and he said no - that it means East coast, West coast or overseas. Any one know the answer to this? Thanks!

please let me know if you are interested in NCP 2019 or 2020. The Navy has 75 total scholarships and I help people with there applications. I can give advice and give you all the info you need to apply or see if the program is right for you.

1. you can request one of those 3 places port/walter/cali they are all teaching hospitals

3. med surg/crit care/icu (it depends on what you want to learn) you will rotate

4. if in school 2 instructors/ 1 work/ 1 character (paster, military friend)

Are the 75 scholarships for FY19?

j6doll, CNA

Yes FY19 =65

and FY 20 =10

Thus 5 for the total year and both FY 19 and 20 students apply at the same time.

HM1 do you know that amount of people who have applied so far this year?

Another question... if I graduate may 2019 but (potential) swear in jan-march 2018 I'd have over a year as an ncp recipient. Would I be fy 2019 or 2020?
