Hello all! I have been avidly following previous topics about the NCP program and I wanted to start one for those of us who have recently submitted a kit for the NCP program for FY2015. I'm in the Chicago area and my kit is currently being combed over by a processor then will be shipped out for the boards- which aren't convening until Novemeber (according to my recruiter), since they wanted to have more applicants. Hopefully this will be an area to calm nerves and answer questions. Good luck to all who apply, or are thinking of applying!
Reading your thread compelled me to reply! Everyone has a stellar GPA and some serious connections. So far...My recruiter also submitted my application in the DC area for the review board in Nov. I am very nervous and excited. I hope I hear good news. SO I am trying to stay positive because I can't imagine doing anything else! I would love to stay connected, so feel free to email me! Yes. My processor said the boards close nov 8, so everything has to be in by next Friday. Then they will take about a week to make their decisions (so nov 11-15) then send out decision letters and notifications to the recruiters the following week (nov 18-22). So hopefully we will all have good news by nov 22. 20 more days guys!!!
Hey everyone! Good luck with your applications. Is there any way to still apply for the NCP if you gradute in 2015? I'll be graduating in May 2015 and want to apply but I fear I'm too late Is there another board that meets for the 2015 applicants or was the November one the last one.
Thanks and good luck!

TraumaRNHopeful--I think they have interviews just to gain a little more insight on us and for us to gain more knowledge. It's hard to imagine an interviewer making bad references unless you just completely freeze and don't answer anything...which does not seem your case lol. If you got to explain your commitment and dedication to serve, I believe you should be good :) It definitely sounds like you didn't get the best interviewers, which you have no control over :/
