Decided to start a new thread for those who are applying to the LVN program at Navarro college for fall 2015. I'm super nervous!
WOW, I cant stand this week. I was hoping that it would go fast since I am working 2 jobs, but it's not!!!! I don't know what I will do if I don't get in, there is one more program I will apply for that starts its advising May 1.
Has anyone heard anything? I wish someone would come along and tell me some scores and points of students that got in last year, does anyone have the lower end of scores to tell us about? I feel pretty good that if I don't make it in, Ill at least get alternate and then hopefully still be called in for a spot. Its just hard, as my ft job is teaching and we have to do contracts and only have until a certain point in July to get out of it or jeopardize our license.
Anyone that comes along maybe can tell me how competitive I am??

I have a Master in education and a bachelors. I have finished all sciences and 1/2 BSN program but more than 10 years ago. I also have medical training through the military and am currently working in the medical field pt. I was a medical assistance but that expired in 2005. I have the 10 non-nursing courses completed as well, plus more! Its so nerve wracking.
SOOO upset and worried, I saw posted on FB today that the Navarro LVN program has decided to open another session for people that still want to apply in Fall 2015. I was hoping we would find out early May, but now with this new deadline, it probably won't be until June.
Does anyone know why they opened a new session? Did they not have a lot of applicants? This makes me nervous, like they didn't feel like they had a strong applicant pool so they are looking for more? Maybe I am reading too much into it
Well I am assuming that if she is going to tell those that had their applications in early, then it probably is they didn't have enough applicants to fill the slots? Otherwise, I would think that she would wait because what if she gave one of us a slot and then someone came along in late registration and had more points then one she already offered a slot to?
It is happening at TVCC as well. I called yesterday to ask information and they just opened late registration. The counselor there said it was because they did not have enough applicants to fill the slots. I am assuming, hoping that is the case at Navarro
