U.S.A. Texas

Decided to start a new thread for those who are applying to the LVN program at Navarro college for fall 2015. I'm super nervous!

No I'm going to take it the 22nd. What about you?

Lol on the 23 or 30 haven't decided what day yet.

Hey how well did you do? You don't have to tell me the score just curious how the test went. And what did you do on the science section?

I'm really confused about that science section? We have to take all parts but I thought that the science doesn't count toward entrance points

I wonder if were just supposed to do our best or pick random science answers. Idk if it'll affect the grade.

Well I passed writing and math but I have to retake reading. I'm going to study hard! :) how did you do

I passed all sections! I have 117 points to apply with total! I'm happy I got thru that terrible reading section

I have decided to apply for this program in the Fall at Corsicana, can you only choose one school? Also, I haven't even gone to the mandatory session yet, she said that there is one this Tuesday and it's the final one for the Fall.

Where did you see about the prereqs? Is that something you learn about at the mandatory session? What about the points you are talking about? I have had 1/2 of a BSN program done, but back in 2004, now I have masters in education. Where can I find this information? Thanks

I'm not sure about the info session dates but I'd call Barbara Jones at 903-875-7549. She is very informative on any question you may have. There are no prereqs but if you have certain classes taken already you get ranking points. The more points, the better have you have. Classes like psychology, lifespan, anatomy, med terminology. They get you extra points. But only if they have been taken in last 5 years. Also if you have any CNA or EMT certification. I'm sure you'll get some points for your masters.

The lvn info online at navarrocollege.edu should also help explain a lot.

So did you guys get all your stuff in? Curious what your Teas scores where? They extended the deadline to apply so I am turning my stuff in this week. Anyone else around applying for Corsicana?

I'm applying to Waxahachie. All I have left to do is the finger print session which is is driving me crazy they are being very difficult. Other than that I have everything ready.
