Hello, Im creating a thread for those who are applying to National University SD cohort 39 starting july 2014. I figured we can all post our experience through this process of applying.
Jennaready86,
Thanks for the info:sarcastic:
Ann Apple,
Thanks for your help! That's nice of you:up:
I got As in Anatomy lecture+lab and Physiology lecture+lab, A-in Biostat, C in Microbio lecture+lab.
Decitroulle,
You are on the same boat as me!! It's so frustrating!
Yes, I received my total score. JJ told me that he wasn't supposed to give out any information to the alternates, but I happened to
call NU while he was there... so he emailed me my total score.
Someone on this thread said that the cutoff score for cohort38 was 83.49.
I received 81.6906. I think it's too low....
Did you email the head of the nursing office that you are going to attend the orientation?
I don't know anything about the new pre-req's. I really hope that we both can get in so we won't waste more money:no:
I am so glad to meet another alternate for cohort 38:yes:
I wish you the best too:singing:

Hi Applepeach,
Yes, I confirmed that I'd attend the orientation. You're SO lucky that he told you your score! Did he tell your place on the list? Thank you for sharing... I think that cutoff score is just an average of the cutoff from previous cohorts....unless someone asked the nursing department. I'm frustrated too, there's always a chance that my points are lower than I think - and even then, that doesn't guarantee anything because people have to back out. Stay positive, though! If we're near the top of the list there's a decent chance of getting in :)
WS- I tested around the 24th and was told that either we would know in 2 or 3 weeks- or- we would know in the 2nd or 3rd week of Feb. At the time I was just happy to have finished the exam and didn't write it down. Now that I am on the edge of my seat, I wish I would have. Come Monday the new curriculum should be posted. Therefore it would be a great day to have an answer.
I tested on the 13th of January and I wasn't as nervous and in a rush to find out as I am now. I think with the curriculum change it has really made me more nervous than I was before because this is my first time applying so I thought I still had two chances left. Now, if we do not get in we could have to wait almost another year to apply and that would suck. I agree it would be a great day to get an answer.
Thanks for the info:sarcastic:

I have made this website for you Appplepeach. Check out your GPA.
Go to: http://applepeachgpa DOT weebly DOT com
Still shows "Submitted".
My current professor just informed us that Monday is a holiday.
Biting nails with fingers crossed.
If any staff from the Nursing Department is following this thread, we are all extra-extra on edge with the coming of the new curriculum. Please hurry. LIKE if you agree
Uh Oh. I think they are closed today too! I called my adviser at the local OIC and no answer only a recording. Then I called the 8586428000 number same thing. Blah blah next business day blah blah.
Does anybody know if they are even there today?
Oh well - Its after 4 o'clock anyways. Now I don't have to obsess over this any more until Tuesday. I'm going to the beach!

Decitroulle,
Hi!
No, JJ didn't tell me my place on the list. My GPA was lower than I thought, I guess I calculated it wrong:cry:
How did you do on TEAS if you don't mind me asking?
Yes, I really hope that we both are the top of the list:sarcastic: I wonder how many people will decide not to go to NU...
We have two more weeks until the orientation!!
Ann Apple,
Thanks for your help, but when I click the link, it just says "This page can't be displayed".
