National University SD BSN Cohort 45

Hello everyone!

This is my first post on this forum so I'm not too familiar with how all this works but hopefully I'll be able to figure it out along the way.

Anyways,

I applied to the July application time for COHORT 45 in SD Nursing Program.

I wanted to know if anyone else has applied to this month.

If you don't mind, could you also share what your GPA and TEAS score as well?

I'm super, duper nervous.

My GPA is just mediocre at 3.55. I feel like this is probably a lot lower than the average that will be applying in July.

I also have yet to take the TEAS yet but I feel like I'm just not prepared.

Any suggestions on how to study for the TEAS besides the ATI V.5 study manual for TEAS? I feel like this in itself is not enough to prepare me for the test.

If you are already part of the nursing program or know the information, could you also tell me about when the assigned test date would be after the application deadline date?

Also, any suggestions and or tips on writing the essay?

I think acceptance/rejection notifications will go out mid October if I remember correctly :)

Wow, that's a lot later than I thought...

I actually thought we would start getting responses mid to late September...

HavasuSun, may I ask on how you did GPA, TEAS, and your thoughts about how the essay went for you?

Sadly, my GPA & TEAS are all going to be considered average. I am hoping my essay score will be good, as I am an extremely strong writer. I am an older student so it has been tough to compete with so many above average scores out there. I have experience, passion, good energy, and i'm ready to go. I know i'll make a great addition to any cohort; I just need someone to give me a chance. Perseverance is key! Good luck to you all! :)

Have any of you guys heard back yet?

Or has there been a change in your application status?

For example, from "submitted" to "being reviewed" or something like that?

It's approaching mid-October and I am so so scared and worried.....

Still says "submitted" for me. Hopefully we hear something next week.

I'm thinking we will hear after this current application period closes, which is 10/17 I think.

I agree. I keep hearing that we won't be apply to reapply (if need be) until the cohort after October's application period. :(

I spoke to a gal in the office a couple days ago to at least inquire about my essay results... she said that acceptance/rejection notifications will be out by the 15th. I sure hope so because it looks like the deadline for cohort 46 is the 16th. They also said they will be sent via personal email. Good luck to everyone! :)
