Hello everyone!
This is my first post on this forum so I'm not too familiar with how all this works but hopefully I'll be able to figure it out along the way.
Anyways,
I applied to the July application time for COHORT 45 in SD Nursing Program.
I wanted to know if anyone else has applied to this month.
If you don't mind, could you also share what your GPA and TEAS score as well?
I'm super, duper nervous.
My GPA is just mediocre at 3.55. I feel like this is probably a lot lower than the average that will be applying in July.
I also have yet to take the TEAS yet but I feel like I'm just not prepared.
Any suggestions on how to study for the TEAS besides the ATI V.5 study manual for TEAS? I feel like this in itself is not enough to prepare me for the test.
If you are already part of the nursing program or know the information, could you also tell me about when the assigned test date would be after the application deadline date?
Also, any suggestions and or tips on writing the essay?
Thank you guys so much in advance!
Much responses and advice will be appreciated and are definitely needed.
Hello, I am looking to apply to the NU program in 2016, after I finish my last 2 pre-reqs. I came across this forum in search for some info. When everyone listed their GPAs, was that just your GPA of the pre-req classes at NU or GPA of all college classes you have taken? I have my bachelors degree already from a couple years ago, and am entering this program as an "Accelerated" BSN...and I just want to know how much of my first BA degree's GPA will factor into my chances of getting into the program. So far I have a 4.0 in my NU pre-req classes. Thanks in advance!
Only your prerequisites for the NU RN program matters. This includes A&P1 and 2 with labs, microbio with lab, statistics class, computer literacy class (which you can test out of)... and that's all I could think of as of now. Lmk if im missing any other classes, those that know the requirements.
You'll br fine if you have a 4.0 as long as you score well on your teas :)
Good luck to you!
Hi guys,I have a huge problem. Does NU require a 2.7 GPA on all the college attended to apply for the nursing program? I'm fine with my NU GPA (3.7) but I don't cut for my other colleges (2.3)
It's embarrassing and sad but I really need an answer.
NU's admission requirements is a 2.7 on your prerequisites. They don't track the overall college GPA. As long as you have a good GPA in your prerequisites you should be fine. Just make sure you do well on your TEAS and the admissions essay.
