National University SD BSN Cohort 45

Published

Hello everyone!

This is my first post on this forum so I'm not too familiar with how all this works but hopefully I'll be able to figure it out along the way.

Anyways,

I applied to the July application time for COHORT 45 in SD Nursing Program.

I wanted to know if anyone else has applied to this month.

If you don't mind, could you also share what your GPA and TEAS score as well?

I'm super, duper nervous.

My GPA is just mediocre at 3.55. I feel like this is probably a lot lower than the average that will be applying in July.

I also have yet to take the TEAS yet but I feel like I'm just not prepared.

Any suggestions on how to study for the TEAS besides the ATI V.5 study manual for TEAS? I feel like this in itself is not enough to prepare me for the test.

If you are already part of the nursing program or know the information, could you also tell me about when the assigned test date would be after the application deadline date?

Also, any suggestions and or tips on writing the essay?

Thank you guys so much in advance!

Much responses and advice will be appreciated and are definitely needed.

Congrats to everyone. I am happy for all of you I will be starting my GE classes at NU. I would like to ask do you think I can work and do my GE classes only I do not plan to work once I get in the program. Also who would like to be my tutor for the TEAS that exam really has been freaked out:banhappy:.

-Hope to hear from one of you soon:yes:

hii- I worked all throughout my prereqs. It's definitely doable. I used the ATI book to study. That was super helpful. Good luck!

Awesome thank you for getting back with me. My fear on the Teas is the math because I am always using my calculator and got immune to it:banghead: which is a very bad thing... Its like taking a bottle from a baby. Do you are anyone have any advise for me on the math section?.

Everything you need to know for every section is in the ATI book. If you legitimately go through every page of that book a few times, and take the practice tests you will be on the right track. Use youtube videos and google searches on sections that are still iffy. Spend more time on sections that you are weak in.

Still haven't received my orientation information yet... I have a friend who started in October, and he said to expect an email up to two weeks after we found out. He also advises anyone who is using the GI Bill to get our major changed from BS in Public health to Nursing ASAP so we can receive our BAH on time. If you are not using the Veteran GI Bill no need to worry.

I also got into the alternate pool. Hope I get the chance to get in! :)

Got the e-mail for orientation!!

Pre-Orientation is December 3

Orientation is January 4th.

So it sounds like we need to, not only accept in our student portal, but email them too.

I got my acceptance packet, and confirmed by accepting on SOAR as well as emailing the nursing department. They confirmed my intent to attend the program a few hours later by email. Looks like I have to get the ball rolling to get all of this paperwork done before January.

Hello! What was your GPA and TEAS score? I'm about to apply and just wanted to know!

I had a 3.55-.6 GPA with a 91.3 TEAS score.

Man, I am dreading getting all that paperwork in...

Me too! But I rather do this than not get in at all!!=)
