Nursing Students General Students

Hi everyone! I have been looking into entry level bsn programs in Calif. I just recently heard about National University and I was wondering if anybody knows if they have a good bsn program. I am also wondering how long the program lasts for, how many terms/semesters/quarters are included and how long each run for, and also if they accept prerequisite courses from california junior colleges. Before I heard about NU, I was looking into West Coast University, but unfortuneately, they are not CCNE accredited. I am looking for a school that will give me the benefit of having my credits transfered to a university for my MSN in the future. If anyone knows anything, please reply! Thank you!

I went to NU nursing forum last week. It seems that the administrative and teaching staff didnt know much about the program. They didnt really give details, just told you the deadlines and rerequisites. The cost for the 2-year nursing program is $55000.

Probably not. They didnt know reliable to me. And I want to get my MSN, but I am not sure whether ther classes are transferrable or not

its 55,000 if you dont have any pre-req's done...im taking some pre-req courses....4 to be exact, before i'll apply this july 2010 for the fall cohort... at least i'll finish these 4 classes in the next 4 months starting november...quick

but its 37,000 if you have the pre-reqs done..

I have also looked into this school for my BSN, basically this is what they told me:

If you are coming into this school with no preq's and want to start the BSN program you have to complete your preq's either there (prefered) or have matching ones from another college

After you complete your preq's you would then apply to the BSN program, they take 20 students.

They pick the students based on a point system: GPA, highest grades in science classes ect.

So it is basically like going to a community college, you have to be extremely smart to get in... I hate to say it but really as far as the nursing schools goes there are really only 3 ways to get in: Be extremely smart, pay your way in (west coast lol), or be extremely lucky and get picked from a lottery... :(
