Hi all! I wanted to create a thread for Cohort 63 for application period Feb 2020. I’ve been a national student for almost 4 years. I’m taking my teas in December to hopefully score above 90 to be competitive. My GPA sits at a 3.5

He told me that 2 years ago and I tell him every time I see him to stop telling student that because it’s simple not true! I don’t know a single student who has gotten accepted with a C in any pre requisite!
the only B- I have is in micro. It’s dragging me so badly.
I don’t believe they give any priority at all to second degree students. I know the community colleges do, you get points for it.
Haha yes, it's him. He was such a good professor. I have a B- in microbio too. That's been weighing my gpa down but I really don't wanna retake it. I took it like 9 years ago so National is the only university that will take the grade. If I don't get in cohort 63 then i'll consider retaking.

I’m just retaking in January to be safe. I don’t want to wait another year to start a program!
Hey guys, I got accepted into cohort 62. I took the TEAS last minute for the first time and got a 77. I was devastated because all I was reading on these forums was people saying you needing high 80s to be accepted. I saw someone from cohort 61 apply with a 77 and get an interview so I tried my luck and got accepted. If you have competitive GPA and you kill your interview, you should be good.

Hi John2020,
I currently have a 3.6 GPA and a TEAS score of 84%. I might retake the TEAS to attempt to reach a higher score, but if not, these are the scores I am applying with.
What questions were you asked in the interview?
Things like why do you wanna be a nurse, why national. Most questions related to nursing. But I was reading the previous cohort before this one and some people had mention their teas questions and some questions were different from mines. So I’m wondering if they change a few each cohort, so I’m a little nervous. I also have a 3.6 and a teas of 83 I’m retaking the teas to try and get a higher score.
I’m sorry not read questions I meant interview questions.

You’ll definitely get in this time!
I used the mometrix book, the pocket prep app/ website (i paid for the full 1500 questions) and I googled science teas questions and took every practice exam online I could find. I built 2 quizlets with around 250 questions and studied every day for like 2 months!
Thanks for the encouragement! I also started volunteering at UCSD, I cant stress enough they really want to see some healthcare experience during the interview ? It is its own category of points!
