National University Cohort 63

Published

Hi all! I wanted to create a thread for Cohort 63 for application period Feb 2020. I’ve been a national student for almost 4 years. I’m taking my teas in December to hopefully score above 90 to be competitive. My GPA sits at a 3.5

I got an 82 on the TEAs and just hoping it’s enough to get an an interview! Good luck everyone!

That should be good enough for an interview as long as you have at least a 3.4+ gpa I would assume

Does anyone know if not having any hospital experience lowers your chance of getting in?

Just want to clarify with you guys.. are they looking at the overall cumulative GPA? Because I also remember someone saying it was just A&P, micro and biomed stats GPA being looked at?

For the nursing application, they only take account of the science and math courses for the GPA.

Yes it does. There’s 5 categories and each has 4 points, 0 for no experience and 4 of you work at one, something like that, I asked when I interviewed back in August

Do you remember what the five categories are? And what questions do they ask for hospital experience, if any?

It is in the email they send you when you get an interview. something like healthcare experience, role knowledge, critical thinking, stuff like that, I cant fully remember

OK I will say its a little slower than the past few cohort forums...?

I just found this thread thanks to a friend who knew about previous cohorts (wouldn't have known otherwise). The previous cohort thread has a lot of examples of the types of questions we may receive if we get chosen if no one has read them yet.

Do they send notifications for the interview a week after the deadline?

Good morning everyone,

I just received an email about my interview date! Anyone else get one? I’m so excited but I’m also terrible at interviews... Anybody got tips??
